I think she was also the daughter who criticized Rose for being "irresponsible" and squandering Charlie's income, after he died. When in fact, Rose was protecting her kids from knowing that Charlie wasn't exactly the best provider in the world.

The first Kirsten was understandable and sympathetic, though; she had no idea of the truth until Rose told her, and then she understood and made up with her.

I don't like Kirsten's second appearance, in "Home Again Rose", but that's largely the writers' fault---they wrote Kirsten as not understanding Rose's relationship with the girls at all, she thought they were just people who happened to share a house. In "The Truth Will Out" though, with the first much more likeable Kirsten, Kirsten tells Rose after dinner that after having met Dorothy and Blanche, she understands why likes them so much and how they enjoy sharing their lives together.

The actress who played Kirsten in that episode was not right for the part, imho :o
