More proof that political correctness is not limited to the United States. This British newspaper columnist tosses out the race card, makes fun of veteran rockers for saying Kanye's records aren't music, and pretty much tells them that they'd better accept the reality that rap is the new rock and roll and that Kanye is the new king of rock and roll.

I have one word in response:

'Aging white rockers are just disgruntled and jealous that a black man stole their thunder in rock and roll"??

As if.

The problem is that Kanye West is hardly rock and roll. There is nothing musical about it, nothing melodic, organic with instruments, singing, melody, nothing. There has got to be something more rock and roll than all this egotism and bombast.

I think a lot of veteran rockers looked up to actual black legends as rock stars such as Little Richard, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, and Prince.

And also, more recent black artists like Gary Clark, Jr. and Keb Mo. :)
