Did METV put Chips back on their afternoon schedule? I saw a season three episode earlier this week between 4 and 6 pm (can't remember if it was 4 to 5 or 5 to 6).

Yes! It's back on as of last Monday at 6PM! Season 3 where they had left off!

Chips is the perfect Summer time show. Guess METV heard from enough disgruntled fans about taking it off and they decided to put it back on!!

It's also a perfect timing for those that haven't seen the episodes with Bruce Jenner in them.

I've never seen the Jenner episodes. But I'm kind turned off of Jenner due to all the craziness he's involved with.

I did like the Bruce Penhall episodes though.

I wonder what the guys, Erik, Larry, Robert Pine think of Bruce becoming Caitlyn? It's so funny, back when he was in those few CHIPS eps. over 30 years ago , who would have thought that one day he would become a woman!

Instead of taking Ponch's place in those few eps. I bet he was secretly wishing he could take over for Bonnie , the lady CHIPS patrolwoman, wear a ladies wig and makeup! :D

I've spent a lot of time watching the old Highway Patrol series from the 1950s (Broderick Crawford), so it's a little difficult getting used to the female uniformed officers on CHiPs. On Highway Patrol, all women working with the guys were in the office only, in their street clothes -- always wearing a dress or outfit with a skirt (seated though, and we rarely saw them in full view).

Of course everything else changed too -- styles of motorcycles, slang, more ethnic officers, hairstyles, CA scenery -- the years in between were ones of great change.

My favorite seasons of Chips are 1 through 3. To me after that the show just wasn't as good. Of course that's just my opinion.

However, I do like Bonnie in all the seasons she is in. Not only was she very attractive, she was a good actress who took her role seriously and didn't play it cutesy.

I thought it was silly when the got the female motorcycle officers in season 4. Notice how they always had Bonnie in a patrol car. I thought that made more sense and lent credibility to her character.

Not many women rode motorcycles back in those days.
