Which franchise move was the worst for BASEBALL (not necessarily the team)? Note this is not meant to be all inclusive!

As a Canadian I had to vote for the Montreal Expo's moving to Washington.

Same here! There was no other choice.

I still believe that MLB went on strike in 1994 purposely so that there wouldn't be a third straight Canadian World Series winner, adding to Toronto's wins in 1992 and 1993. Nobody would have beaten the Expos that season. That ultimately cost them the franchise because after that the fans stopped showing up.

I can't decide...there was a point where The Cleveland Indians may have been the Miami Indians or New Orleans Indians, this was in the 70's.

Montreal to Washington. Before the 2005 season, the MLB had 2 Canadian teams. If it weren't for the 1994 MLB strike, Expos would have a opportunity to win the World Series.

They would have won for sure. Maybe Cincinnati would have given them a good battle, but that season, there was nobody better than the Expos.
