I would be in TV Heaven! I can only dream of having a channel like this that airs the classic shows.
icecream 07-13-2015, 04:31 PM I would be glad to take Me-TV off your hands, it's the station I want most that I don't have.
Mr. Television 07-13-2015, 04:58 PM Well it took me years to get the full Me-TV lineup (minus 10-10:30 PM). and I love it. Sure I wish some things were changed but overall it's great.
BigManMike 07-13-2015, 05:48 PM I don't think it's that great. Too many long boring dramas and westerns and not enough sitcoms and the good ones are on at bad times.
Kirk007Anthony 07-13-2015, 06:00 PM I prefer COZI. But I do watch ME-TV For SciFi Saturdays. Cozi between 11am-1pm its Dragnet followed by Adam 12 so I am in front of the TV Lol.

Yeah I have to wait to Thursdays to see Welcome Back Kotter because of the summer of ME sh*T:lol:
MrCleveland 07-13-2015, 09:25 PM Here's my opinion...that line-up is quality TV! Not the **** that they play on broadcast TV!

TVFactFan, you're right. I'm sorry about it. It's all visaman666 fault. The user says it's 90s program. No the user should've read the post.

From that list , I like the Brady Bunch, Gomer Pyle, Dobie Gillis, Car 54 , Streets of San Francisco, Love Boat, Mod Squad, Columbo! And Gomer, Dobie and Car 54 are on way too early or way too late. I never have even seen them on METV! Wish they were on at a decent hour!
My problem with METV is that "Rope opera". 3 hours of western shows everyday and all day Saturdays! It's TOO much :(

I agree. I like Gunsmoke, Bonanza and The Riffleman but they need to change it up. Gunsmoke and Bonanza have aired there forever.

Yeah and They play on TV Land too! Seems like people would be burned out of it already!
mets82 07-16-2015, 05:23 PM I dont watch many of the shows TV Fan mentioned. I will say that Catch ME if you Can NEEDS to come to an end. Change it up. They've had mostly the same Sunday schedule for 2 years.

Rewinder 07-20-2015, 08:07 PM One time you said one of the reasons you hate ME-TV was because Happy Days was not on their line-up now that it is, it's the summer of ME sh*T to you but i guess that's hypocrisy for you,So i don't think you know what you want.
TVFactFan 07-21-2015, 12:26 AM Me-TV fall schedule

visaman666 07-21-2015, 02:39 AM I was in the hospital for almost all of May and the first 2 weeks of June. METV saved my life, although I was getting sick of Andy of Mayberry ;) and I refused to watch the 2 hours (!) of Saved By The Bell.

Now that the new fall schedule is out, let's see what happened to the shows on Solomon's list that he wants to get rid of so badly: :( :(
1.Lost in Space---still on the schedule, Saturdays at midnight, and it's way better than Star Trek
2.Voyage to Bottom of the Sea---also still on, right after Lost In Space
3.Gomer Pyle---on at 4 am not 5 so at least you save an hour's sleep
4. Get Smart---still on, moved to Sundays at 1 am
5.Car 54 where are you---Saturdays at 3 am, that's where!
6.The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis---Sundays at 5 am
7.Love Boat----Sundays at 5 am and 6 am
8.Remington Steele---Gone!
9.Streets of San Francisco---also gone
10.Brady Bunch---still on, ha ha too bad! BOOYAH!! Sundays at noon
11.Saved by the Bell---still on, Sundays at 10 am. I agree with this choice. This show sucks large.
12.Mod Squad---Gone. Solid!
13.Hawaii Five O---also gone
14.Black Sheep Squadron---also gone
15.Columbo---still on Sundays at 8 pm
16.The Man from Uncle---still on Sundays at 2 am, not crying Uncle yet!
17.Mission Impossible---Gone. This show will self-destruct in 5 weeks. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to celebrate its demise accordingly.
By my count that's 11 shows still on and 6 on their way out. So that would make you 6 for 17, or almost 1 out of 3. That's a great average for a baseball player but not so much for a TV network executive. It's a nice try but I know you can do better.

Other than Love Boat and Saved by the Bell, which are 80s crap, I have all of the other shows complete and uncut on DVD so I would have no need to watch them on this channel. Too bad they don't run more 50s dramas.

It looks like Me-TV is announcing fall 2015 schedule and there are some more changes in weekdays and weekend lineup.
I like these changes. I'm glad they're expanding I Love Lucy to a full hour, and putting it on weekends, too. And they're bringing back Cheers, The Honeymooners, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. These are some of my all-time favorite shows. It will also be cool to see Phil Silvers again. I just wish they would bring back The Lucy Show, and move The Carol Burnett Show to an earlier hour.

Honeymooners on Saturday night is good sh*T:wave:
LittleRickyII 08-01-2015, 12:09 PM Honeymooners on Saturday night is good sh*T:wave:
I'm reading that article again. Nothing is mentioned about Saturday night. It says: "Sunday evenings with 'MeTV's Last Laugh,' including M*A*S*H, The Odd Couple, The Honeymooners, Cheers, The Bob Newhart Show, Mary Tyler Moore, Taxi, Get Smart and The Phil Silvers Show all from 9:30pm-2am."
So all this starts at 9:30 PM? I have to be in bed by 10:00 on Sunday nights. So they're bringing back some of these shows I want to see so badly and putting them on at a time I can't watch. :(
The weekend daytime is otherwise filled with the likes of Gilligan's Island, Laverne & Shirley, F Troop, The Brady Bunch, Mayberry R.F.D., and Welcome Back Kotter. These are all shows I can't do without. Ugh!
Coffeecup 08-01-2015, 12:20 PM Honeymooners on Saturday night is good sh*T

Personally I would rather watch Laverne & Shirley, F Troop, and Mayberry RFD than I Love Lucy and The Phil Silvers Show. But if all of us agreed on everything, there wouldn't be much need for these message boards.
It would be nice regardless to get some fresher blood on MeTV. My hopes for the future:
Nanny and the Professor: At one time in my local area's syndication, this series was no less popular than Gilligan's Island or The Brady Bunch.
Mr. Peepers: WALLY COX! Once believed to be a lost series.
Our Miss Brooks and My Little Margie: Seldom seen '50s work.
The Bob Cummings Show (Love That Bob): Brady Bunch fans will love seeing Ann B. Davis. Paul Henning's gags were precursors to some later used on Green Acres, etc.
Funny Face: SANDY DUNCAN!
Far Out Space Nuts: For the Bob Denver fans.
Who's the Boss: A fun series that holds up pretty well.
Coach: While later than most MeTV series, this would be a good choice. Currently airs weekends only on some My Network TV stations.
JoshLarson24 08-02-2015, 08:23 AM Really? Since they don't air the stuff you care for or air them at the time you desire they should remove the channel for several fans who watch Me-TV.
That sounds like a personal issue and not an issue with TV.

YEAH!!!! Nanny & the Professor , I haven't seen that in years and barely even remember it! I posted about that on the N & P boards when I first signed up here!
Funny Face/Sandy Duncan Show!!! WOW!!!! I haven't thought about that show in years. I remember I liked it though! ;)
Who's the boss!! Heck yeah. I love that show. Love that Tony!! ;)
Love that Bob ( LOL I just wrote love that Tony) I think I've seen this show before ? I would love for MeTV to run it!! ;) I'd like to see Ann B Davis before she was Alice !!! ;)
Mr. Peepers, ( I never saw it, But Wally Cox was a funny guy, so I say yay to putting it on METV, Our Ms. Brooks & My little Margie ( I think maybe I've seen these before)? :)
Coach- Sure I wouldn't mind seeing Coach again! ;)
Far out space nuts- OMG I never heard of this show!!! But any show with Bob Denver is bound to be funny!!! I say yay to this! ;)

Who the f*ck watches TV at 5am?
JoshLarson24 08-04-2015, 12:21 PM Who the f*ck watches TV at 5am?
It is called a DVR. I rarely watch anything on TV since I can DVR it and watch it later.
Planet Claire 08-04-2015, 12:44 PM I love my Me-TV. The only thing I would change is the afternoon schedule that has Bonanza, The Rifleman, and Gunsmoke. They have been around too long in my opinion.

Yes get rid of those shows and send them to Antenna TV where they can be credit crunched then take all the good shows off Antenna TV and bring them to MeTV where they won't be credit crunched.

I wouldn't mind all the Norman Lear shows being shipped away however.

Technically speaking, if you DVR something, and sit down to see it later, you're still watching TV. :)

I do, sometimes
treky 08-05-2015, 12:42 AM That's philly slang for.........."AWESOME TIME SLOT"
I used to live in philly from 1979-2000 and I never heard that.

it started in 2001:lol:
treky 08-05-2015, 01:31 AM Why? is that the time you get up?
no, but sometimes I'll have trouble falling asleep so I'll turn my TV on for about 10 minutes.
(YEARS ago I used to get up at that time for work)
TVFactFan 08-05-2015, 07:48 AM no, but sometimes I'll have trouble falling asleep so I'll turn my TV on for about 10 minutes.

That's confirms it's an awful time slot. U were watching at that time because
1.u were getting ready for work
2. Had trouble sleeping
So it's not a time slot that will have a lot of viewers
I'm glad ME-TV is still keeping The Love Boat on its schedule. I would be happy if somebody would release the entire series on DVD, (or even a few more seasons, or "best of" DVD's), but I don't think that will ever happen. It's always been one of my favorite programs, and always will be. :)
I would also like to see Trapper John MD in syndication again.
mets82 08-08-2015, 05:10 PM I think they should maybe get rid of the Love Boat. I mean its been played to death on POP and they always skip around. It will take forever for LB to go through a full cycle on ME-TV.
Coffeecup 08-08-2015, 06:05 PM The way I see with all the retro stations is watch one or two shows. Then when you finish, see another. Don't even think about wanting your old show to disappear. If I thought about getting rid of shows that have been on decades and decades, I would have hollered about Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch and I Love Lucy. Just find another show. There has be a show you haven't seen before. So I am keeping all my stations.

Bonniegirl 08-08-2015, 11:18 PM Petticoat Junction comes on at 6AM!! I love that show, so sometimes I put it on. I'm up early making coffee for my husband cause he gets up shortly after, but sometimes I don't , I just get the coffee on and lay back down!
So in other words even 6AM is too early for me to watch TV if I didn't have to be up. When I worked I had the TV on always at about 6 or 6:30, but not at 5AM!!! That's TOO early!

Yeah, you are right! It's on but you are groggy, getting coffee , brushing your teeth, showering. Not TOTALLY watching/ paying attention to the program! :(
visaman666 08-09-2015, 12:10 AM That's why the marginal cable stations in Canada play Storage Wars; Pawn Stars; Baggage Battles; and Lost And Sold, in the overnight hours.
Dude111 08-10-2015, 01:46 AM Any show airing at 5am will failI wonder if they put GOOD shows on @ 5am cause they dont care about it and want to take it off completly.... What do you feel about that Solomon??
BigManMike 08-10-2015, 08:48 AM 5 am is when they should put crappy westerns on like Bonanaza, Gunsmoke, and Rifleman. I don't know who cares about those shows they've been on forever and they are extremely boring. They could show better programs in the day.
