Tina's agent told her she would be playing a cross between Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe. And you know what? That's exactly how Tina played it. I swear, to me at times it seemed as though I was looking at a Lucille Ball type character and at times a Marilyn Monroe character. So I think it's fair to say that Tina earned her paycheck.

I can definitely see the Marilyn Monroe but not so much the Lucille Ball. I liked her interpretation of the character anyway.

Other than the red hair I don't see any of Lucille Ball in her performance.

She was more Marilyn Monroe.

Tina Louise definitely had the Marilyn Monroe thing down! Lucille Ball...maybe a little bit. She could come off a little ditzy every now and then like Lucy did, but that's not saying she wasn't a sharp gal! I really liked her character on the show and the way she portrayed Ginger!

Jenny didn't have what it takes to have Lucys' sense of humor.

There was a time when Jenny McCarthy was being promoted for having a Lucy-like silliness. She didn't, though.

I remember hearing Jenny McCarthy say on some show that she wanted to be like Lucy. Unfortunately for her it was the only funny thing she ever said.
