Yeah. That ep was weird!:confused: Second person to die in that house. Cousin Oscar I think it was from season 2? Also maybe Edith died there too? Or maybe at the hospital though? On Archie Bunker's place was it ever mentioned how Edith died?

And I agree with Mike, I don't think Archie should have been obligated to pay for a proper funeral for him. I agree with Mike, that just go with what the city does with poor people that die ! I don't mean to sound cold or anything, but it wasn't like Archie had a lot of spare money and Oscar wasn't a close family member at all! :confused:

Let's not forget that there was that Jewish activist [who'd offered 'protection' after they got a swastika placed on their down] who got blown up in his car right outside their front door- yet not only did we never see any followup re police questioning,etc. but neither the Bunkers, Stivics or any of their neighbors ever mentioned that someone had gotten blown up in their car right in front of everyone!:eek:

OH yeah!!! My Gosh that ep was weird!! Gregory Sierra (Julio, Sanford & son) was the actor!! I remember seeing this ep first run as a little girl, and not having ANY idea what was going on or what this was all about. Even after my Mom tried to explain! :confused:

Watching it in reruns and understanding it it's still like WTF? WOW!!!! :eek:

Oh yes! That was awful! :( And it was at Christmas time too , so that made it really sad! :(

Also , didn't Edith have a cousin who passed away. And it turned out she was a lesbian, and her girlfriend was going to inherit a really expensive tea set instead of Edith, and Archie got really mad? :confused:

The Maude episode I think you are thinking of is they went out of town to Carol (Maude's daughters) wedding! Maude was actually first introduced when she came to help out when everyone at the Bunker house was really sick! ;)

But I am pretty sure the next Maude ep wasn't a funeral but a wedding, and Carol didn't end up getting married anyway, I think? And it was a different actress playing Carol. she wasn't nearly as pretty as Adrienne Barbeau !;)

Thanks! I was rusty on my history, that's for sure. Archie was always in a bad mood in family functions like that, so maybe that's why I was thinking funeral.

I agree about Ms. Barbeau too.

I'm certain someone can corroborate the tea set controversy.
