(Scene 1: St Faith's Park. 18 year old Mona Parker laughs as she and her boyfriend George Jamell slide down a slide)

Both: Woo hoo!

(After a few seconds, the opening theme starts and plays as the young people of St Faith's happily frolic and play together)

(Charley Bones sits at the edge of a hill; suddenly, Lilly Duncan comes skating in out of nowhere. For the record, this is where the edited-for-time version begins)

Lilly: Look out, Charley, here I go!

(Lilly skates off screen)

Bernice: Now it's my turn!

(Bernice jumps off and tries to fly; Mona catches her and gently places her on the ground)

Bernice: Aww.. I coulda made it!

(Charley witnesses this)

Charley: I wish.. I wish.. I wish!

(Charley disappears and reappears behind George)

Mona: I'm goin' for the double inside-out loop!

Lilly: But it's dangerous, Mona!

Mona: Danger is my life, Lilly!

George: Mona! Look out!

(Mona crashes into her mother's pile of apples; the others laugh at them)

Veronica: Applesauce, anyone?

Bernice: Charley, will I ever fly like Mona?

Charley: No, Bernice, not all people can fly.

Bernice: Will I jump far like George? Or disappear you like can?

Charley: (in a big brotherly attitude) Bernice, you'll grow up to be your own special person.

(A dark storm cloud appears over St Faith's; Charley and Lilly gasp)

George: Everybody, quick! Come on!

(general scared crowd dialogue; thunder strikes)

Bernice: Holy crap!!

(The people are blown away by the sudden wind)

Mona: What the hell's going on?

George: It's the Stratadons!

Charley: Stratadons?!

Lilly: Run!!

Various people: Help!! Help! (etc)

Voice: Grab 'em!

(The Stratadons grab George and try to carry him away)

George: Oh God. Help!

(George struggles and manages to escape. The Stratadons carry Charley away; Lilly tries to save him but is carried away as well)

Mobster: You guys are all doomed! Soon, you'll all belong to Donna Angela, the capa di tutti capi!

(The mob drive away)

Lilly: Help!

(Mona runs after them with George behind her; the others are running out of the park)

George: Mona! No! Wait!

Veronica: Where are you going?!

Mona: To get help! (runs off out of reach)

Bernice: No! Come back! It's too dangerous! Mona.. come back! Come baaackkk~!!

(Exterior shot of a warehouse; cut to inside. Lilly and Charley are in a kind of jail; Tubby shuts the door and starts to leave when Van rushes up to him)

Van: L-listen, Tubby, can I go with you next time, huh? Can I? Can I?

Tubby: NO, Van!

Van: (jumping up and down trying to get Tubby's attention) I can sneak really fast, Tubby! Really fast!

Tubby: Not now, Van, not now!

Van: (disappointed) Oh..

(Cut to a dark room.. it is actually an office with a desk and chair with turns around to reveal Angela Smith speaking on her cell phone)

Angela: Shut the hell up, your time will come.

Tubby: We got Mona the Vampire's pals, boss.

Angela: Have you forgotten something, Tubby?

(Tubby and Van bow irritated)

Angela: Yeah, that's better. Two of that vampire bitch's pals, you say, only two?

Van and Tubby: Yes, Donna Angela.

(Jimmy the Snake slowly creeps into the doorway)

Angela: Yeah, just the two!

Jimmy the Snake: (rushes into room) Yeah, yeah, but he tried to get 'em, ma'am, honest, I mean honest, the guys really and truly tried, I-

Angela: SHUT THE HELL UP!

(There is a moment of awkward silence.)

Angela: All three of you will prepare another raid. Now!

Jimmy, Van and Tubby: (slowly, sort of enunciating every word) Yes, Donna Angela.

Angela: Don't forget who's the boss here.

(Cut to St Faith's Cemetary; Mona is standing by her father Lenny Parker's grave)

Mona: (off screen) I guess you were right about my crappy life, Dad, it sucks not being a vampire.

(Suddenly, the wind blows rather fiercely in her face)

George: There you are!

(Mona screams and turns to see George standing behind her)

Mona: George Jamell, you scared the crap out of me!

George: Excuse me, Countess Dracula.

Mona: (shocked) My fault!

George: (smiling) I've been looking for you! ..Least I could before I knew you were trying to say something to your dad. (notices that Mona's a bit upset) Sorry.

Mona: That's okay. (looks around and notices George is looking around before running) Hey! George, where are you going? Slow down!

(George runs up the top of a steep hill and looks around)

George: Yep, yep, yep, looks high enough.. (turns around)

Mona: Hi-high enough for what?

George: Hold my hand! (notices that Mona is still stunned) Uh.. you.. you do know how to ride, I hope?

Mona: 'Course I know how to ride! (holds George's hand; George starts running again)

George: Great!

Mona: Hey, where are we going?

(George runs back down the hill)

George: To help the town, we need you!

Mona: Me? What can I do?

George: You're strong.

Mona: I quit being Mona the Vampire years ago.

George: You can fight!

Mona: No, I can't!

George: And you can fly!

Mona: I said I could ride, not fly!

(George runs off back up the hill with Mona barely clinging on)

George: Let's get ready to fly!

(George jumps off the hill and begins to fly)

Mona: Oh my God!

George: This kicks ass!

They'll be dancing on air when they meet you,
Dancing on air with glee,
I doubt they'll be celebrating when they see - it's only me,
They'll do cartwheels in air when they greet you,
Their hopes will start to rise,
From what they're anticipating, they're in for a BIG surprise,
They'll be floating, lighter than a cloud,
They'll be gloating - laughing right out loud,
The sight of you will set spirits flying,
One or two may burst out crying!

(they land on a cloud)

George: Why can't you believe? You're gonna be great!

Mona: But George-

George: Trust me!

(Mona and George fall through the cloud)

Mona, you're a dream come true,
Bet my friends'll think so too,
You're the answer to our every prayer,
Time will tell if I'll come through,But just if imagine if I do,
They'll be dancing..
Prancing!
Dancing on aiiiiir!

(George and Mona return to the city)

Veronica: (excited/relieved) Mona!! George!

(crack of thunder; Bernice retreats)

Bernice: Run, everybody! Run!

(The mob return; the people run every-which-way. One carries off Mona and she screams)

Mona: Help! (screams)

(fade out)

(fade back in. Jimmy, Van and Tubby carry off Lawrence and Dottie; Lucy tries to save Dottie but fails)

Belinda: Somebody do somethin'!

Lottie: The double inside-out loop!

George: It's the only way!

(George does the double inside-out loop around Jimmy the Snake who's got Mona; he drops her and she falls screaming)

Mona: He-elp!

George: Mona!! (flies down trying to catch her)

(Mona screams)

(Van runs over and catches Mona quickly putting her safely on the ground before running away again. Mona sits up terrified. The Stratadons run away; Mona looks at the mob. Thunder strikes again)

Van: We know you, you're that vampire bitch.

Mona: Get lost, you SOBs! (tries to hit Tubby; he runs away)You guys are crooks, do you hear me? BUTTHOLES!!

(George lands beside Mona; the mob run away. Mona sighs defeated)

George: See? Whew! You ARE brave!

Mona: Am not, he just got me mad, that's all. Now come on.. we'll save our friends.. somehow..

(exterior shot of the mob hideout)

(Inside, Charley and Lilly are whimpering and calling "let us go!". Lawrence and Dottie rushes down the corridor to Angela's room watching from the doorway)

Angela: SHUT UP!

(Charley and Lilly quieten instantly)

Angela: That's better. Boys, get Larry and the Vampire Hunter, remove the small one.

(Van and Tubby drag Lawrence and Dottie away)

Charley: You won't hurt them?

Angela: They were just back up pals, butthole.

(Jimmy makes a kind of strangled gulping noise)

(Mona and George are crossing a bridge)

Mona: Your uncle Van's got magic powers, he'll help us!

George: This is too much like one of those sci-fi TV shows!

(Applejack notices a missing slat in the bridge; the bridge starts to rock back and forth)
[Applejack] This bridge doesn't feel very safe..
[Bow-Tie] Come on, it's fine!
(Applejack falls through the bridge and into the river below)
[Twilight] Applejack!!
[Megan] I'll save her!
(Megan jumps in after Applejack and catches up to her.. unfortunately, they are then
trapped inside a giant clamshell D8 As a sidenote, this is where part one of the
edited-for-time version ends.)

(Part two of the edited-for-time version begins)

(Cue the second insert song, the incessantly catchy "Call Upon the Sea Ponies"
[or just "Sea Ponies Song", the official title], my absolute *favourite* pony
song :D During this song, Megan and Applejack are encased in a [most likely
magical] bubble, as the Sea Ponies put on a spectacular, show-stopping song and
dance number for them.)

[Sea Ponies] ~ Shoo-be-doo, shoo-shoo-be-doo!

Call upon the Sea Ponies when you're in distress ~
[Megan] "Woah!"
[Sea Ponies] ~ Helpful as can be ponies, simply signal SOS!

then retreat back into the sea. The other Little Ponies rush towards them, relieved.)

[Firefly] It's Megan and Applejack!
[Twilight?] They're alright!
[Megan] The Sea Ponies saved us!
[Applejack] It was great~
(Sea Ponies bob up and down in the sea)
[Sealight] If you need us again..
[Sea Ponies] just call!
(They throw a shell at Megan, who catches it. The Sea Ponies giggle.)
[Megan] Thanks, Sea Ponies!
[Sea Ponies] ~ Shoo-be-doo, shoo-shoo-be-doo! ~
(..and they back-flip into the water again.)

(The Little Ponies and Megan walk down a dark path)

[Megan] You're sure this is the right way?
[Bow-Tie] (nervously) Sure I'm sure.
(Firefly and Bow-Tie gasp. A cluster of giant mushrooms in the distance start shrinking; the
dark sky suddenly turns white, then blue. They walk into the Mushromp, awed.)
[Twilight] Oh, it's so beautiful! (looking around) Mr. Moochiiick..
(She walks over to Habbit)
Mr. Moochick?
(Habbit tugs on a green-yellow mushroom, which turns around and reveals itself to be the Moochick)
[The Moochick] Come in, come on, come on, no time to waste! Unless you want to stumble around
in the /dark/ for all eternity..
[Megan] Dark?
[The Moochick] Yes, Tirac's going to force your friends to bring in the Night That Never Ends!
[Megan] How can he be stopped?
[The Moochick] Ah.. somebody's got to sneak into his castle, and swipe his Rainbow of Darkness!
(looking for something inside his hat)
That's what gives him his power, y'know. Ah, here it is, here i-
(pulls a bunch of flowers out of his hat)
No.. no, that's.. that's not it.

(The Moochick throws the flowers into the air; they become butterflies.)
[Twilight] W-whatcha lookin' for, Mr. Moochick?
[The Moochick] The only thing that might help defeat Tirac - a Rainbow of Light!
[Applejack] Do ya have one?
[The Moochick] I got a little piece of one somewhere.. somewhere.. I just forget where it is.. but,
I'll find it, yes yes.. It's gotta around here somewhere!

(Another insert song - "A Little Piece of Rainbow". Unfortunately, this was cut from the
edited-for-time version, and is therefore missing from the DVD version of this special. D:
Anyway, during this song the Moochick, along with Megan and the Little Ponies, tries to find the
aforementioned piece of the Rainbow of Light.. all while Habbit is gesturing frantically,
seemingly trying to tell them something.)

[The Moochick] ~ Somewhere there's a little piece of rainbow~
I save it for a rainy day!
It's either underneath the rug, or in the cupboard - ugh, a bug!
But have no fear, I'll find it right away!

Wait until you see this piece of rainbow!
It's brighter than a peacock's plume!
It's ocean blue and sunrise pink, I left it by the sink, I think..
Or was it in the closet with the broom?
..Perhaps we ought to try the other room!

That piece of rainbow must be hiding someplace!
Search every nook and cranny, high and low! ~
[Megan] ~ You think that with a rainbow, there'd be SOME trace ~
[Twilight] ~ But not a gleam ~
[Bow-Tie] ~ Not a glimmer ~
[Firefly] ~ Not a glow! ~

[The Moochick] ~ Where'd I put that little piece of rainbow?
I ran across it just last week!
It might be in the flowerpot - my goodness gracious, no, it's not
That piece of rainbow's playing hide and seek!
I'm sorry but it seems..
I'm sorry, but it seems we're up the creek! ~

[Megan] "You're not giving up, are you?"
[The Moochick] "Might as well, looked everywhere, absolutely no place else we could lo-"
[Habbit] (whistles)
[The Moochick] ~ Wait a moment! Beg your pardon! Silly me, come and see, it's in the garden!

(The Moochick points to a spot on the ground and begins digging with his hands)

This is where I put that piece of rainbow!
It's buried here beneath the ground!
I left it in the flowerbed - it's how I am, I plan ahead
I knew that here I'd find it safe and sound!

A lesson for you all
When hope seems past recall
A piece of rainbow always can be found~! ~ (holds up the rabbit)

[Twilight] That's no rainbow..
[The Moochick] Oh.. oh, I guess I lost it.
(Habbit pulls a heart-shaped locket from his pocket and hands it to the Moochick)
[The Moochick] Oh, it's the rainbow! The Rrrainbow of Light! (trilling his Rs)
(The Moochick gives the locket to Megan)
[Bow-Tie] But- it's so small!
[The Moochick] Well, it's better'n nothing!
[Megan] But of course it is! And thank you for all you've done-
[The Moochick] No time for thanks, no time for thanks, no TIME for thanks! You've gotta stop Tirac
before midnight! (looks for watch) You've only got, uh.. you've got, uh.. oh..
[Megan] Goodbye, Mr. Moochick! And thanks again!
(Megan and the Little Ponies walk away)
[The Moochick] (calling after them) Hey, you haven't seen my watch, have ya?! (to himself) I know it
was here yesterday..

(on a cliff by Midnight Castle)

[Firefly] (whispering) There it is. Midnight Castle.
(they notice the impossible-to-cross river surrounding the castle)
[Bow-Tie] Oh no!
[Applejack] How're we gonna cross that?
[Megan] I have an idea! (holds up shell) The Sea Ponies! (throws shell into water)
[Twilight] Where are they?
[Applejack] They said they'd help..
(The Sea Ponies come up to the surface)
[Sea Ponies] ~ Shoo-be-doo, shoo-shoo-be-doo! ~
[Firefly] We've gotta get inside the castle!
[Seawinkle] No problem!
[Wavedancer] We know a way!
[Sealight] Hop aboard!

(Megan and the ponies are sitting on top of what looks like a giant shell, which is being pulled by the
Sea Ponies)

[Seawinkle?] See that gargoyle?
[Wavedancer] Up there!
[Sealight?] Pull his nose!

(Firefly flies up to the aforementioned gargoyle and taps his head; a doorway in front of Megan and the
ponies opens, and they walk through it, as one of Tirac's guards watches them from above.)

[Scorpan] We tried, Master, but-
[Tirac] Then try again. If by midnight my chariot does not roll, the head of your little friend will!
(to the guard next to him) Well?
(Guard whispers something in Tirac's ear; Scorpan sneaks away)
[Tirac] Ah, excellent. (to Scorpan) But as for you, Scorpan, you- (realizes Scorpan's not there) Scorpan!
SCORPAN!!

(back at the jail cell, Spike and Ember are locked inside. Scorpan throws the door open;
Ember hides behind Spike, scared.)

[Spike] It's okay, Ember, he's my friend!
[Scorpan] We're getting out of here, right NOW!
(breaks jail door down)
Come on, it's almost midnight!

(Megan and the ponies creep through the castle)

[Megan] This place is like a maze!
[Bow-Tie?] How are we ever gonna find that Rainbow of Darkness?
[Twilight?] We've just gotta keep lookin'!

(One of the guards creeps up on Applejack; she turns and gasps when she seems him)

(they walk into Tirac's room)

[Bow-Tie] This must be Tirac's throne!
[Firefly] Hey, where's Applejack?
(Twilight turns and gasps as the guards suddenly appear and shut the door, blocking their path)

[Tirac] (evil laugh) So, you seek the Rainbow of Darkness? (more evil laughter) It is mine, and so is
your friend!

(the guards walk away to reveal Applejack, chained up)

[Megan] Applejack!

(Tirac unleashes the Rainbow of Darkness upon Applejack, turning her into a draconic creature as he did
with the other captured ponies)

[Bow-Tie] Stop it!

(She tries to rush forward and save Applejack, but is stopped by the guards. Suddenly, Scorpan pushes the
door open, Ember and Spike following him.)

[Scorpan] Run, ponies!
[Spike] (jumping up and down) Yahoo! (as Scorpan takes on the guards) Let 'em have it!
(Scorpan grabs Megan and runs for it; Megan screams)
[Tirac] Seize them!

(The guards run after the ponies, who are rushing through the door, but Scorpan shuts the door just in time.
They end up on an outside part of the castle [the parapet?], when the castle starts shaking)

[Scorpan] Get back inside!

(Part of the castle walls explode; Tirac rides through them on his chariot, laughing evilly.)

[Tirac] The Rainbow of Darkness, that darkness sends, now begin the NIGHT THAT NEVER ENDS!
(Tirac starts to open the bag containing the Rainbow of Darkness, when Scorpan flies into his chariot and knocks
it. Scorpan attempts to take the bag, but is thrown off the chariot; he falls through the sky)

[Spike] Scorpan!

(Scorpan lands heavily on a bale of hay on the parapet; Spike rushes over to him)

[Spike] (in a small voice) Scorpan?
[Scorpan] (quietly, sounding as though he is in great pain) All is lost.
[Megan] (jumping onto Firefly) No it isn't! Come on, Firefly!
(Firefly takes flight)
[Firefly] Hold on, I'm goin' for the double-loop again!

(Firefly does the double inside-out loop around Tirac's chariot as Tirac laughs evilly again. Megan successfully
knocks the bag out of Tirac's hand; it falls to the parapet)
[Tirac] NO! Guards, catch it!
(Bow-Tie jumps up, catching the bag in her mouth)
[Spike] Way to go, Bow-Tie! Oh!
(The guards close in on Bow-Tie)
[Twilight] Over here!
(Bow-Tie tosses the bag to Twilight, who catches it and runs off)
[Tirac] After her!
(Twilight skids to a halt at the edge of the parapet; the guards close in on her..)
[Twilight] I wish.. I wish.. I wish!
(Twilight disappears; Firefly and Megan land on a lower part of the castle [? I'm no good with
castle layouts, sorry], and Twilight reappears close by them.)

[Megan] Throw it to Firefly!
(Twilight throws the bag to Firefly, who catches it and flies away)
[Megan] Take it to Dream Castle!
(Firefly nods)
[Tirac] Stop her!
(Firefly flies into one of the Stratadons and falls, the bag flying out of her mouth.)
[Firefly] Ah-!
[Tirac] (catches bag) The game is over, Little Ponies.. the power is MINE!
[Megan] (pulls heart locket from around her neck) We have a power of our own, Tirac.
(opens locket) Take THIS!
(A tiny rainbow flies out from the locket)
[Bow-Tie] It's not doing anything!
[Firefly] (lands close by) Maybe the Moochick was wrong..
[Tirac] Behold the power of darkness! (unleashes the Rainbow of Darkness)
[Bow-Tie?] Our rainbow!
[?] It's gone!
[?] We're finished!
[Tirac] (evil laughter)
(The Rainbow of Darkness turns into an arc-shape; light starts appearing at the end)
[Megan] The Rainbow's fighting back!
[Tirac] It can't be!
(The Rainbow of Light overpowers the Rainbow of Darkness; it spins, lengthens and then engulfs Tirac
and his chariot)
[Tirac] No! (roars)
(explosion and thunder as the Rainbow of Light continues to engulf him. The Stratadons are turned into
butterflies, the guards into birds, which flutter away. The dark sky turns light; Tirac is defeated.
The captured ponies fall to earth slowly, turning back into ponies, and land safely. Scorpan starts glowing,
and Megan runs over to him.)

[Megan] Scorpan! What's happening?
(Scorpan turns into a human prince)
[Spike] He's really a prince!
[The Prince] Tirac turned me into Scorpan, and he took over my kingdom.
[Twilight] (to Spike) Aren't you gonna change back to what you were?
[Spike] Not me, I've ALWAYS been a baby dragon!
[Ember] Ah.. ah..!
(cut to Ember; she has a butterfly on her nose. She sneezes, falling into the moat behind her, splashing Bubbles.
Everyone laughs.)

(Ending credits; this song plays as Firefly takes Megan home.)
