I must admit now the only crime show I watch is Forensic Files and Unsolved Mysteries (on CBS reality), I know this is not from UM as it was too long for it so it must be from Forensic Files but I am finding it very tough to recall, been online looking and nothing matches this, I found a Facebook group with one person vividly recalling this same scenario yet no idea on episode/show, and an editor of the show insistent that it is not from FF.

I remember a teenage girl in some sort of a boarding school or home, perhaps it was a foster home and she was there with other teenagers. They had horses outside in stables. She lived there for some time and the phone rang during a gathering and she picked up and claimed it was her father, apparently this was suspicious as he never really called. Later that night she snuck out, telling the people at the home she was going to feed the horses, instead got into her fathers car and it drove off, the father offered his daughter some wine but she refused, so he forced her to drink it then raped and killed her in the backseat on the side of a road. I think motive was money possibly.
Any idea what episode? thank you so much.

That case, the 1985 rape and murder of 13-year-old Teri Bradish, was never featured on Forensic Files. It was on a different true crime show altogether: Unusual Suspects. The episode is titled "Sinister Secret." Teri's murder was financially motivated.

Thank you so much, that's definitely the one I am talking about :) must have been the only Unusual Suspects episode I ever saw, hence why I couldn't recall seeing anything else other than UM or FF.

If "Sinister Secret" is the only Unusual Suspects episode (or one of the few episodes) you have seen, then I strongly recommend that you watch more episodes. It has been on since 2010 and has produced 89 episodes to date. The show completed its latest season three months ago. It has a good chance of coming back for more new episodes, but probably not until next year. For the interim, however, check the Investigation Discovery schedule to find out when the show is on again. DVR the show if you have to, but please do watch! :)

Unusual Suspects is one of my favorite ID shows. The first season had some episodes that featured two separate cases, and the show looked cheap. But when the series returned for its second season in 2011, the quality was much better - and still is.

Thank you, I will keep an eye out on more episodes. I've had a look at the episode synopsis's online and I have also seen 'High School Homicide' and Blood in the Water.
I make a list on my computer of each season of FF and which episodes I have seen, so I will start making one on Unusual Suspects so I'm not in the same boat when trying to find a case/episode again :)
