I know that John had his own self-titled show on NBC for a while, which of course they meddled w/ in hopes of making it more "assessable" (the first season of The John Larroquette Show was pretty dark for a prime-time network sitcom in the early '90s), but it seemed like he couldn't do much more at least on TV. I don't have all of the stuff that he did post-Night Court right in front of me (I know that he briefly did an American version of Faulty Towers called Payne), but they didn't seem to make a long lasting enough of an impression. I guess it was a combination of John being older, and Dan Fielding being such a great character (he after all, won Emmy's in a row, and declined to accept nomination for a 5th) that he was more than likely never gonna top him.

I agree, John Larroquette was the highlight of the show many times, I also liked him in Stripes and his guest spot on Threes Company.

Kind of like Larry from Threes Company or Kramer, He was "ensemble funny."

I wanted to like his sitcom but it was too melodramatic.

I tried watching "The Librarians" but it was too silly for me. He was good on Boston Legal.
