One thing that I have given up on a long time ago is understanding my own sleep cycle. Getting me to go to sleep at night and get up in the morning has been an issue with me since preschool. My sleep disorder is one of the reasons that I am a client at an organization for adults with special needs. In any event, on the rare occasions that I am awake at 3 a.m., I tune into this show in syndication. Because I have the whole series on DVD, I know what the episodes are like before the syndication companies butcher them to make room for more commercials. I checked the listings last night and "The Emergency was the episode that was going to be on the coming morning". If I had happened to be up, I would have watched it and saw what it was like. Because this is my second-favorite episode, I, have, pretty much memorized it word for word. I would know right away, if something was missing. As it turns out, I was asleep at 3 o'clock this morning. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who saw the episode and who could tell me to what degree it was butchered.

That actor who played the hospital patient in "The Emergency" passed away a few days ago. He was 93, I think. You know, the guy who kept talking to the nurse and said she'd be pretty if it wasn't for her face :)

My heart goes out to his friends and family regarding their loss. However, if he was, in fact 93, it was clearly his time. In any event, that you for sharing.
