well...i dont have mine pierced but i know someone who does so i'll tell u everything i know...

-it doesnt hurt that much to get (she said getting her belly button pierced hurt more...)
- it feels weird to talk with for a little while (duh...) but u get used to it pretty fast.
-dont eat gum wen u first get it cuz....uh...well its kinda gross if u do.

I know a couple of chicks who have tongue piercings. They both said it hurt really bad and one of them threw up for, like, an hour after she got it done cos it just made her feel so icky!
Whoever said "don't chew gum" is right - that gets messy.
Also, after you get it pierced, don't expect to be eating any solid food for at least a few days.
You'll probably develop a bit of a lisp, at least untill you get used to talking with your tongue stud in.
Don't take it out again - if you leave the stud out for more than a few hours it'll heal. Tongue piercings heal really quickly once you take 'em out.
Personally, I'd never consider getting a tongue piercing. For one thing, noone would ever see it unless you go around sticking your tongue out morning, noon and night and isn't the whole point of getting a piercing so that people'll notice it? Also, I dunno what it'd be like trying to kiss someone with a tongue stud - it might actually be alright but I doubt it.

I can feel blood dripping down my tongue just thinking about it. gross is all i have to say.

All I know about the subject is that your tongue may never heal, but that's after you leave it in a few months. I dunno if it's true or not, but my health teacher told us that once you pierce your tongue, it never grows back. I dunno if he lied or not, but I personally would not get one. Like Mossop said, I dunno go sticking my tongue out to everyone, but if you wanna get one, that's cool! :D

Well that made me feel better LOL...people will see it cuz im gettin a barbell in it, but I guess people are different cuz some people said it hurts like hell and other people say it dont hurt...guess it just depends on the person. I hear more bout what Blair n' Jo Rock told me.

My mom's cousin has her tongue pierce...

But of course, eveytime I see her talk, I get disgusted. But I guess it's just me... -sigh-

I think you're brave if you go through with it! My friend has hers pierced and she says that they make you put yo tongue and lie it down on a matt-like-thing, and they literally whack a big needle through it. And I heard alot of people throw up because they have to leave their tongues out without moving it, and that makes you feel like puking.

Well, all I have to say is OUCH but.... when I'm sixteen I'm gettin that AND my nose done lol so... I shall not say anything

I don't have my tounge pierced but I know some people who have had it done.

My best friend has her's pierced, she said it didn't hurt at all. She had a lisp for like two weeks, but then she got use to it, and she can talk normally now.
I got my belly button done, but I took it out because it hurt so badly and it healed. I still have a scar tho'.

i hate tongues pierced the ears are the only part that need to be pierced, nothing more, and maybe less. but if u wanna do it, then go for it chicka! lol...my friend got it done like a couple of months ago. her mom didn't know, and still doesn't. she said it didn't hurt really bad during it, but afterwards it did, but she put some ice on it and still played b-ball. but i dunno i mean, ppl have different tolerance levels of pain. woa...i sound smart! lol...but yeah, good luck if u go do it. :D

Around here I have seen almost as many guys with their tounges pierced as girls, in fact on one of the local radio stations here the night dj ( 20 year old guy ) has not only his tounge pierced , which you can hear it when he talks, but also his eyebrows, both nipples, the area below his mouth, 5 earrings in one ear while on the other ear he has this huge hole in pace of a ring.

He also sports over 50 tattoos and has a 5 inch long goatee, which he claims is his "trademark".

oh...he was recently voted by many local kids around here the "the best looking dj on radio".

...my cousin had his tounge done while he was in the army. he ended up spending quite a bit of money on dental work as he broke a tooth, twice thanks to having his tounge pierced.

Hmm, everyone I know with tongue piercings are all female.
I have toyed with the idea of getting my lip pierced for years but my parents have this thing about it - they hate my ear piercings and I only have 6 of 'em! The only thing stopping me from getting my lip pierced now (cos I'm 20 and I don't have to answer to my bloody parents anymore!) is my job. I think it might be a bit odd seeing a Trainee Accountant with a lip ring! :crazy:
As for that DJ guy - he sounds like a bit of a mess to me!! :eek:

I dont think you should do it. For one,it could cause dental problems with your teeth.Another thing...if you smoke you definatley shouldnt do it...the tar and stuff gets in the hole and you could end up losing your tongue.
The only reason people I know who got it done did it was "for oral sex purposes".Ew. I'm not doing that to myself to make someone else's experience more pleasurable.

I think it lukes kewl, but I'd be too afraid to do it...I despise needles. I want my bellybutton pierced tho! I never will...unless I go to Mardi Gras and get drunk or something..................
