Season one was released in 2007, then nothing since. If things got moving again, would it be more likely to be just season two, or jump to the complete series? Because at the current pace of 8 years and counting between seasons, for a show that ran nine years, neither me or the DVD format is going to make it.

I honestly think our only hope is Shout! Factory and if they release it, it'll probably be a complete series set.

I would love a Complete Series, but since this show doesn't have the popularity of Maude or The Jeffersons, I am doubtful Shout Factory will release a big box set. I wouldn't care if they went the single-season route and gave us Seasons 2 and 3. IMO those are the best of the series anyway.

Doubtful because the sales were not as good for season 1. This show is not nearly as popular as most of Norman Lear's other shows were so it is unlikely.

I have gotten by with recordings of the show to compile my own set. I will not get my hopes up for a individual season or complete series set.

If fans have Antenna TV they should make their personal sets of the show because it is unlikely that this show will ever make it to DVD again or even be shown on another network after it leaves Antenna TV.

It wasn't paying for that one Elton John song in season 2 that stopped the DVDs, was it?

No, they would have cut out any music that was too costly or used generic versions. The sales for season 1 were bad so they did not release anymore.

It's not a DVD type of show due to it being too dramatic

That is not the reason the show is not on DVD. It is due to the season 1 DVD not selling that well.

For a person who claims to not like the show and wants it replaced by Alice you sure do watch it a lot. Here is a hint:Stop watching it

There are several shows you can watch so stop trashing a show that happens to be a lot of people's favorite show.

I won't watch as long as they are crunching credits so a DVD release would be nice. I do watch sometimes on Sunday's when they don't crunch the credits though.
