They are advanced in their nursing. Once in a while I get the NP instead of the doctor even though I feel I should be seeing the doctor, but I do like NP's because I think they listen better and are more understanding. They may serve their patients as primary care providers, and day-to-day duties are very similar to those of doctors in their field or specialty. Now for my explanation. I think you get sent to them as an initial doctor visit. If they find something that isn't just cured by medication and they think something might be seriously wrong and you need further care , you get sent to a regular doctor. ;) |
