For most of the ep he was all love struck and injury faking. Then at the end he was "We've both grown and changed. Bye". It didn't work for me, unless scenes were edited out.

Yeah!! But I still thought the ep was enjoyable! ;) :) LOL @ Ann, she seemed all surprised at the end when he wasn't still all in love and fawning over her! :D

That episode brought full closure to the David and Ann relationship.

I liked David. I wish he was around instead of Nick.

It was kind of an abrupt end but it was nice to see David walk away with his boots on and let her know he was not that in to Ann anymore.

It was also Nick's swan song. I wonder if the producers knew at the time that this was the end of the line for this character.

I also wonder if Bonnie Franklin had him fired like she reportedly had Mary Louise Wilson written out.

Why would Bonnie have Mary Louise written out? I dont think it was she didnt want to have another top female her age because Francie comes in right about now.
