View Full Version : Now that Alex is here...
Which is the ep with Barbara the bath, the one eventually used in the credits? Purely for historical reference, of course.
Edit- I'm thinking it's not till Nick is gone, but I'm not sure.
Anna Karenina 06-11-2015, 11:36 AM I think you are referring to "Wicked Ann" episode 135. I remember Alex having a tantrum while Barbara is taking a bubble bath and later breaking a plant and Ann slapping him. Nick walks in shortly after and then takes Ann to task for that.
Later on Barbara and Ann have a poignant scene regarding the effect of divorce on children.
Bonniegirl 06-11-2015, 01:41 PM I'm not sure yet if I'm liking the Alex character? I will give him a chance though! On one hand , he's an annoying brat, but on the other hand he plays well off of Barbara! The two of them together are believable. He is like an annoying little brother to her. I like their banter . And with Julie gone , I guess they needed another character , this time Barbara isn't the youngest person anymore. It's kind of cool in that respect, making her seem more grown up!

That would be due next week (unless it was Mothers Day marathoned), so we shall see if that's the one. :conan:
(no idea why I threw Conan in there)

I guess I was right...
Aaargh.
I've said I hate coming into old threads and seeing what I wrote, but against my better judgement I look in here and what do I see? That dumb Conan joke.
I hate my younger self. I much prefer the mature adult I am now pickle: pickle:

I love that 3 years ago I knew something Barbara related that you didn't.:yeahthat:groucho:D
I get a kick out of these old threads and wonder what happened to these old posters. Did our little gang drive them away?:wave:
Irene/Paralegal, we hardly knew ye.

So did you ever learn to like him?

Nah!!! Never really liked him!! I really think Jonathan Silverman would have been a good choice for Alex! Even if I didn't crush on him I think he would have been very good in the role!! :) Like how he played Eugene in Brighton Beach, but instead of a 19 30's kid, a 19 80's kid but with the same funny personality ! :D
He would have been about 14 or 15 than, perfect age!! ;)

He would have really towered over Ann though. :D
Did you see how I posted the link about Silverman appearing in The Cookout tonight on the main thread?

A Queen Latifah ensemble comedy from 2009.
Maybe he could have been a friend of Alex's as well.
