if your mother isn't alive, does your family still celebrate Mothers day? What about Fathers day if your father's not alive? Or both days if you've lost both parents?

No Both my parents have passed away and I don't have children so no can celebrate me. That is I am not a mother. As the years passed I do less with cemetery flowers. My folks are gone and they are in my thoughts.

My Father passed away in 1996 and my Mother is in a nursing home, but I still celebrate both events. I gave my Mother a card for Mothers Day, and on Father's Day I'll cook a thicck, juicy Steak and devour it with all the trimmings (I'd visit his grave but I'm in Florida and he's buried in Michigan).

My father passed away when I was 9 months old. I do have a stepfather so we celebrate Father's Day for that reason, but we also usually always visit the cemetery on that day as well.

I put flowers on my dad's grave close to Father's day, his birthday, Christmas & Memorial day. But it's not really a celebration. My son & I take my husband out to eat around Father's Day. I usually have to work on that sunday.

My Mom passed away a year and a half ago. On the first Mother's Day after her passing we went to the cemetery and placed flowers on her grave. This year we didn't do anything.

No. My Mom died in 2002. I used to always buy her some Eclairs on Mother's day. It was our tradition. She loved those. Now this day is just a reminder of loss. I always remember her on that day though.Remember the good times.

My dad passed away in 2002. I don't do anything except look up to heaven or look at his picture and say "Happy Father's Day , dad !"

I lost my dad in 2001. I think of him most every day, and Father's Day is no exception.

Anyway my brother is a dad, so we celebrate with his kids. Mother's Day: still have my mom, along with my sister-in-law.

My dad passed in 95. But, I have a stepdad that my mom married in 96 so I give him a father's day present every year.

Both my parents have passed on. My dad in 1997 and my mom in 2001. For many years my brother and I would put flowers on the grave. I remember as a child my mom would put flowers on her parents grave. Usually geraniums. I also associate geraniums with graves. This years I think my cousins put flowers on the grave for a year ago my aunt passed away and she is in the plot with her parents and sister.
