There's Another Awesome "Boy Meets World" Reunion on the Way!

"Girl Meets World" is bringing back yet another familiar face. TVGuide.com can confirm that Matthew Lawrence will be back as Jack Hunter for one episode of the Disney spin-off this season.

Lawrence first appeared on "Boy Meets World's" fifth season as Shawn Hunter's (Rider Strong) long-lost brother and Eric's (Will Friedle) roommate. When we last saw him, he was taking his 6-percent body fat to the Peace Corps with his ex-girlfriend Rachel (Maitland Ward).

Rowan Blanchard spoke to TVLine about Matthew Lawrence's upcoming appearance on "Girl Meets World" today at the ATX Television Festival.

“Jack’s storyline is mainly with Eric, which is cool, because they were best buddies on Boy Meets World,” Blanchard teased. “The whole Rachel situation definitely comes up, and you’ll get some closure on that. … We want to have her back at some point, but she doesn’t appear this season.”

Well, his last name wasn't Hunter so that makes sense.

Anyway, glad to see him. He was always a good foil for Eric.

Its interesting how the powers that be have been able to write so many original characters in considering the fact that this show is supposed to be about Corey's daughter and her best friend.

are you implying that Disney is doing it solely for ratings? :lol:

I like how they've been bringing back old characters by folding them into the world of Riley and Maya while at the same time addressing where they've gone since BMW ended.

It's a great way of having your cake and eating it too.

No, but if bringing them back is what makes the ratings do well, then I am all for it because I actually prefer this new show over the old one because I love watching the characters that we grew up watching share what they have learned with those who are looking up to them. :) :) :)

i can never like GMW over BMW - the original is always best - plus the writing on BMW was more adult friendly lol


but GMW is still the bestest new show on tv right now
