View Full Version : Like to know, what do you think is appropriate and inappropriate?
mets82 04-16-2015, 05:00 PM Not talking about here because thats already been discussed. I'm talking for a site like youtube. Now, Thomas E has a channel there. I dont think I would be able to put anything up there because I'd be so worried that somebody might post or say something so vile, vulgar and inappropriate. My question is how would you deal with that? I mean whats the protocol? Do you ignore them? Tell them to stop? Report it?
I mean I know on here you talk to Janice or TJ but what would you do on other sites.
mets82 06-04-2015, 04:35 PM So I'm still wondering. Do you have a responsibility to report something if you feel is very vulgar or do you ignore them?
mets82 06-04-2015, 04:43 PM What this means is that what do think is good, clean talk and what do you consider vulgar, inappropriate talk?
Now, on this site, if you mention that you find an underage girl hot or sexy or comment on her physical appearance as hot and sexy, do you think its ok? On one hand, there could be nothing to it. On the other hand, it could be deemed as inappropriate and lets face it, the person saying it could have a daughter at her age.
The thing is that is it ok if somebody says something like that as long its under the notion that it was a one time thing and not making it a habit?
But then you have to ask, is it a one time thing or is this person sick? How do you tell the difference?
Have you guys experienced any of this on here or any type of this on here?
Mr. Television 06-04-2015, 04:50 PM Just report it and leave it up to the administrators to decide what's appropriate or not. I tend not to report something unless it's completely outrageous.
Vahan 06-04-2015, 04:54 PM I usually try to ignore it, but when all they do is bump the same threads over and over again, and the admins do nothing about it, it becomes hard to ignore.
I'm not talking about this site, I'm talking about the other message boards I go to in general.

There in lies my question on my other thread about whats appropriate and whats inappropriate. What would you consider inappropriate? I mention in my other thread about talking about an underage girl's appearance. Now, if you describe her as hot or sexy, isnt that kind of wrong or inappropriate? I mean what if it was your daughter they were talking about? Or is it just a one time thing and let the administrators handle it?
Now let me ask you this. If you see a post or thread like that or even if your reading an article and see a bunch of vile, vulgar comments from some trolls, how do you handle it? I mean do you delete the thread/post/article from your browsing history as a way of saying that you dont condone that type of stuff? Or do you leave the article in your browsing history because its no big deal?
Wawwie 06-04-2015, 05:17 PM If you actually know for certain that the girl is underage, it IS inappropriate to call her "sexy." An appropriate way to comment on her looks would be to call her "beautiful" or "pretty." Calling a minor "sexy" is very creepy.
mets82 06-04-2015, 05:24 PM Actually something like this happened on here late last year. I went to Janice and Todd of Sitcomsonline and they took care of it. If you want to know, here's the thread:

Dude111 06-04-2015, 10:17 PM I usually dont let TEXT bother me,its silly!!
mets82 06-05-2015, 04:08 PM Thats a good point, Dude. The thing is that dont you think you have a responsibility to do something about it? You dont want to not do something and something happens.
MickeyMac 06-09-2015, 12:40 PM I tell them to kiss my a@@
Lissa70 06-09-2015, 07:40 PM An adult man should not even be thinking that way about an underage girl. Underage girls should be referred to as cute, adorable, pretty but not sexy.
Dude111 06-10-2015, 03:13 AM Hehehe.. Excellent!!
mets82 06-12-2015, 05:53 PM Well, thats the thing. Do you ignore them or not?
mets82 06-12-2015, 05:55 PM Well, then what do you do? Do you report it if it happens on here? Do you ignore it? Do you tell somebody? I have the link already posted.
mets82 06-18-2015, 05:22 PM TVFactFan's banning thread got me thinking. Have you ever come across anybody on here that said or did anything inappropriate? If so, did you do anything about it?
JamesG 06-18-2015, 06:27 PM Why do you seem to be so obsessed w/ "inappropriate content"? Just report something to the site admins/mods if you feel something is overboard and then they can decide what course of action to take.
Janice 06-18-2015, 07:53 PM ^ I've been wondering the same thing. You've made three almost identical threads, which I've merged. Asking what people have said that's inappropriate is just going to cause trouble. If you have something on your mind, just be direct and ask instead of all of this hinting.
Please, no more threads on this topic. Three is enough. Thank you.
mets82 06-19-2015, 05:02 PM You know you are right. Three IS enough. But thank you for answering my concerns.
MrCleveland 06-22-2015, 09:31 PM I said yes...enough said!
