Pull out your calendars and write “Faux Tanner Family Fun Night” on Saturday, August 22. That’s when Lifetime will debut its The Unauthorized Full House Story, the network announced Thursday.
Capitalizing on the buzz about Netflix’s forthcoming "Fuller House", which is a spin-off of the beloved ABC sitcom, The Unauthorized Full House Story will be a behind-the-scenes tell-all in the vein of the cabler’s The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story.
The cast includes:
Garrett Brawith (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Bob Saget
Justin Mader (Rookie Blue) as Dave Coulier
Justin Gaston (Days of Our Lives) as John Stamos
Stephanie Bennett (UnREAL) as Lori Loughlin
Shelby Armstrong and Brittney Wilson (Rogue) as Candace Cameron
Dakota Guppy (The Returned) and Jordyn Olson (The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story) as Jodie Sweetin
Blaise and Kinslea Todd, Calla and Tyla Jones and Kylie and Jordan Armstrong as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in toddlerhood, at age 6 and at age 9.
Aislyn Watson (Motive) and Jaime Schneider (The Killing) as the younger and older versions of Andrea Barber.

"Why does that Danny Tanner look like he's probably really inappropriate on set?" wonders Megan Reynolds. "Why is Uncle Jesse's giant oven mitt of a hand CLUTCHING fake-Stephanie's shoulder like he's going to drag her down into the pits of hell where he lives? Why does it look like all of these actors could be starring in a low-budget porn parody shot in someone's paved over backyard in the Valley? Why is this happening?"
mets82 06-05-2015, 04:27 PM I didnt know about the Full House Movie. I think I might check that out.
tlc38tlc38 06-05-2015, 06:14 PM This looks like it will be good for a laugh...that's it.
tvaddicted 06-06-2015, 02:24 PM omg... This looks so wrong on so many levels! If the Saved By The Bell movie is any indication (although I'm not sure if the same people are producing this one), this is gonna be a trainwreck. Can't wait! xD

I'm sure that Bob Saget, on the other hand, is very excited for it, and will probably have his DVR set if he can't watch it live.

"How can you look at this? Isn't it painful?" says Bog Saget. "I went to so much therapy to not look at myself."

Hmmph, I thought Saget would have loved to see the show he so thoroughly despised be wrung through the wringer.
Schmoopie 06-10-2015, 05:57 AM What was so controversial about "Full House" that Lifetime felt that they had to make a movie out of it?

The 15-second teaser sets the tone for the Aug. 22 TV movie.
Spark Of Spirit 06-23-2015, 02:13 AM Is that set wrong on purpose?

The Unauthorized Full House Story star Garrett Brawith says of his Lifetime role: “My one goal was to not be destroyed in a stand-up routine by Bob Saget.”
JO Sweet Heart 07-09-2015, 03:24 PM Right now I don't know how to feel about this. Its great that the show made that much of an impact on people to where something like this is wanted, but in my opinion, it has to be done in the right way and right now, I can't say that this is the right way.
God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

John Stamos wanted the Olsen twins replaced!?!
JO Sweet Heart 07-29-2015, 07:26 PM ^^^ Well we already know what it is that he has been drinking these days. I wonder what his beverage of choice was back then?
God bless you and him and Mary-Kate and Ashley always!!!

Lifetime's Full House Movie Looks Really Ridiculous In This First Clip (http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Lifetime-Full-House-Movie-Looks-Really-Ridiculous-First-Clip-74657.html)
JO Sweet Heart 07-31-2015, 10:59 AM ^^^ I'll be surprised if it is any kind of a success.
God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Spark Of Spirit 08-01-2015, 12:53 AM That wasn't even a plot-line at any point in the show.
Coffeecup 08-21-2015, 02:56 PM I have it dvred to watch. I find it interesting to see the Bio of the shows. So far have seen Different Strokes and Threes Company. There are a few interesting facts I find when I watch the shows. .
Mace Dolex 08-21-2015, 07:43 PM I'm all ready for it, I don't expect anything that even comes to being perfect but one made for TV movie won't be enough to capture the stupidity that was this show.

That’s because Lifetime’s latest Unauthorized movie isn’t afraid to embrace its subject matter. "On a cinematic scale ranging from The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story to, oh, Citizen Kane,” says Brian Lowry, "Lifetime’s latest unauthorized trip to nostalgia-ville, built around Full House, falls somewhere in the middle, representing modest progress.” PLUS: Producer promises a “love letter to the show." (http://www.ew.com/article/2015/08/21/full-house-movie-lifetime-producer-interview)
Mace Dolex 08-22-2015, 08:48 PM So far it's predictable like any other TV biopic peppered with all its cliches of struggling actors getting their big break and the highs and lows of success.
JamesG 08-23-2015, 02:31 AM I saw it and I wasn't very impressed. There were many things inaccurate about it that even a casual fan would notice... such as the Olsen twins being older when they first started on the show and the set being in reverse.
There wasn't really anything here worth making an "unauthorized" story about... there was nothing controversial going on.
The only thing I liked was the guy who played Bob Saget.
DJM77 08-23-2015, 10:55 AM I taped it. I'll be watching it sometime today with a grain of salt.
JamesG 08-23-2015, 06:03 PM "Full House" Cast Reacts during Airing of Lifetime Movie: "So Bad"
by Arlene Washington
8/23/15
The "Full House" cast didn't seem to enjoy Lifetime's The Unauthorized Full House Story when it aired Saturday night.
Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner, didn't directly call out the film but tweeted "So bad. Just so bad" at the time the film was airing.
Andrea Barber posted a photo of her character Kimmy Gibbler's signature unimpressed face. Barber tweeted she would be making the face all night and asked her followers if "anything good" was airing on TV Saturday night.
John Stamos chose to keep positive while wishing best of luck to actor Justin Gaston who portrays him as "Uncle Jesse."
"Good luck tonight @JMichaelGaston - Hope you have as much fun being me as I do. #UnauthorizedFullHouseStory"

Mace Dolex 08-23-2015, 06:42 PM Why did Lifetime even bother doing this movie? They didn't even get the clearing rights for the theme music instead they made up a corny 1980's intro complete with wacky introductions of the actors mugging for the camera.
When it comes right down to it basically its just a warm up for the new Netflix sitcom.
70s show watcher 08-23-2015, 11:15 PM I am watching it right now and so far I am not too impressed
Here Are Twitter’s Most ‘Cut It Out’ Reactions To Lifetime’s ‘Unauthorized Full House Story’ (http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/08/unauthorized-full-house-story-reactions/)
70s show watcher 08-23-2015, 11:48 PM I turned it off a few minutes ago 30 minutes was all that I could stand saget stamos and coulier all came across looking like major jerks and it was mostly them whining and moaning about how this show was sooo beneath them well guys you knew it was not shakesphere when you singed the contract so suck it up

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the villains and Bob Saget was presented as a tortured philosopher on the Lifetime film. PLUS: Why did the Lifetime movie reverse the set (http://morningafter.gawker.com/full-houses-adult-actors-did-whip-its-on-set-per-lifet-1725981534)?, and the cast calls it “just so bad." (http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/unauthorized-full-house-story-cast-reacts-candace-cameron-andrea-barber-1201576463/)
JO Sweet Heart 08-24-2015, 07:23 PM I saw bits and pieces of it and from what I could tell, it didn't look like it had any real plot, therefore the show was not thought out enough.
God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

mets82 08-28-2015, 04:17 PM Yeah, it was bad. I mean I think I mentioned above, they showed a supposed episode with DJ wanting to go on vacation with Tina. That was never an episode. The house wasnt the right way and even the supposed Full House theme wasnt the Full House theme. If anything, I respect Saget a little more. He knew that it was hokey but he needed to pay the bills. Just bad. I mean if your going to tell a story at least tell it the right way.
Coffeecup 08-29-2015, 01:39 PM I never was a avid watcher of the show. But I tuned in to the movie just to see the HOW it was put together" angle. I knew Bob had a different side of personality but I would have thought the producers would have gone with a more all around middle of the road guy. I wonder where John Posey went in life. Having a guy say MY wife has big knockers doesn;t go over well with young stars. I wonder what the youngsters thought about him or their parents.

Speaking of John Posey the only other thing I've seen him was in RoboCop 3.
Speaking of John Posey the only other thing I've seen him was in RoboCop 3.
He did a CHEERS and a SEINFELD, so he had a Must See TV connection.
paul.austin 09-03-2015, 12:15 AM Not having the real set and not using the real theme is because both are copyrighted and this movie was "unauthorized" in more ways than one.

So of course there was never any juicy behind the scenes scandals and the only "unauthorized" part was this movie getting made once it boils down to it.
mets82 09-03-2015, 03:42 PM Then they shouldnt do a movie if they cant get the sets, the music etc. Then what's the point?
