View Full Version : It's crazy how this show never fell off in season 6 Blackout 06-02-2015, 07:23 PM except for the horse episode, season 6 was strong  TVFactFan 06-03-2015, 01:04 AM except for the horse episode, season 6 was strong  That ep with Will Hypnotize was weak too not sure if it's season 6 Blackout 06-07-2015, 09:40 PM i liked it but i can see why someone wouldn't EccentricGenius 05-20-2017, 11:34 PM except for the horse episode, season 6 was strong  Are you kidding me, Blackout? With the exception of the hour-long series finale ("I, Done"), much of "Fresh Prince's" sixth season was a complete bummer, with "I, Horse"--the infamous "horse episode" you mentioned--being at the top of the list. The producers were relying more on big-name guest stars (such as Chris Rock, B.B. King, Michael Clarke Duncan, Wayne Newton, Dick Clark, William Shatner, Jaleel "Urkel" White, Gary Coleman, Joan Van Ark, Regis Philbin, Sherman Hemsley, Richard "Shaft" Roundtree, Conrad Bain, Isabel Sanford, George Wallace, and Marla Gibbs) instead of focusing on the Banks family as a whole. I guess since season six was intended to be the final season, due to Will Smith's fledgling film career, the series was sputtering on autopilot. Perhaps the worst episode of "Fresh Prince's" sixth season is "I, Clownius," in which a psychotic clown named Juggles holds Will, Carlton, and Uncle Phil hostage. Not only is "I, Clownius" the worst episode of season six, it's also quite possibly the worst episode of the entire series. Another disappointing episode from season six is "Get A Job." I won't discuss it in depth, but I'll sum up its premise in only four words: Chris Rock in drag. Other stinkers from season six are "Not, I Barbecue," "Hare Today...," "I, Bowl Buster," "Burnin' Down The House," and the hour-long Thanksgiving episode "There's The Rub." There you have it, Blackout...those are my two cents on "Fresh Prince's" lackluster sixth season. Good night. EccentricGenius 05-20-2017, 11:57 PM That ep with Will Hypnotize was weak too not sure if it's season 6 TVFactFan, the episode you mentioned is "Save The Last Trance For Me," and it aired during the fifth season (1994-95). And you're absolutely right, bro--"Save The Last Trance For Me" is a disappointing episode; seeing Will revert to childhood while under hypnosis (by accident, of course)--at the sound of a bell--is astonishingly unfunny. The only saving grace of "Save The Last Trance For Me" is a guest appearance by Nancy Cartwright (best known as the voice of Bart on "The Simpsons") as a mother trying to sign her daughter up for private school. Hope I was able to help, TVFactFan! Good night! |
