Whenever I start writing a message in the box the page will suddenly shoot to the top of the screen while the ad is being played. During the time of the ad, you cannot type in the box and if you try to scroll down past the ad, the page flashes and bounces back to the top and you are literally forced to watch it. All the others I've seen are playing fine and not causing any problems.

I was having the same problem today. Lately it seems the ads on the site have gotten majorly annoying.

Are you using Google Chrome? I have seen those video ads on the boards and on the blog. They definitely shouldn't cause the screen to jump like that. I have seen them for Starbucks also. They are pretty difficult to block because they re-direct to another site. It seems to be a Google Chrome or Flash issue because they ask for your location. There are other sites reporting the same problem.

Haven't seen the Maytag video ad lately but today there was one for Advil which was even worse. This one is about 15 seconds and plays in a continuous loop. Usually when a video ad ends a different one will play next but not in this case. Each time it restarts the page once again shoots to the top and I have to scroll back down to where I was and try to finish typing. The only chance I have of not seeing the ad is to refresh the page but I have to remember to copy/cut what I already have on the screen or I run the risk of losing it. I had to refresh the page at least 4 times before another ad appeared. I'm using IE8 and Firefox and the same thing happens regardless of which one.

I don't think it's just Advil ads. I've have plenty of other ads on this site that do the same thing. To make matters worse, while you're typing stuff, the screen turns completely white.

For the record, I'm using IE 8.1.
