Sometimes it’s fun to imagine combining separate fictional storylines — characters, plot points, and so on — especially if one or both of the stories involved are popularly problematic. On the one hand, we have Lost — a wildly popular prime-time television series whose series finale was a mixed bag for many devoted fans. On the other hand, there’s Tomorrowland — Disney et al.’s latest attempt to turn a theme park attraction into a film. And in the middle of it all is Damon Lindelof, who wrote for both.

While doing press for Tomorrowland, the Huffington Post asked Lindelof a very important question: If he could, would he add a Lost character to Tomorrowland, and which character would it be?

“I think that I’d probably send Hurley….It’s always just nice to have someone around to lighten things up. He’s got a great sense of humor,” Lindelof said. Hurley “tended to always be the glass half full guy.”
