He was watching UM and stayed home and waited for the police to show up and stated UM was his favorite show. Anyone recall who it was?
Lack of details but I recall it from one of the DVDs and they didn't mention who it was.

I loved that UM's phone/computer system crashed the night that Kevin Paulson, aka Dark Dante's, segment aired.
Coincidence? Nah. I think "experienced hacker."

For a minute there it was almost Tim McClure after his curtain call was done.

Dennis DePue who's segment inspired "Jeeper's Creepers" was watching UM and saw his case (he was wanted for killing his wife).
He was living with a woman who had no idea who he was. She said he bolted for the door and it wasn't until after he left that she walked into the room, saw the TV and noticed he was wanted for murder. She called the Cops, they found him, a high speed chase ensued and he shot himself.
Other than that, I am not sure which other case it could be (though he probably wasn't the only fugitive to see his case aired live).
Edit:
Speaking of Kevin Paulsen, he writes for Wired magazine now on topics related to computer security news. I come across articles of his quite often. He seems to have "moved on" quite well from his Dark Dante days. Same thing with Kevin Mitnick (another famous 80's hacker who had a movie made about him. Was his case on UM? I don't remember). He also is a comp security lecturer and writer and seems to have left his life of crime behind.
