Whoa is right!
nikkispence1989 05-22-2015, 06:18 AM This and Sharron Marshall were in my top favourite cases which is thought would never be solved because too much time had passed.
I'm so happy that now they are both identified so their family can finally have the closure they need.
Amazing that after all this time they were not forgotten about and the cases were still being worked on by LE.
I hope more cases end up solved like these
RobinW 05-22-2015, 07:11 AM I must say, 2015 has been an incredible year for solving cases involving unidentified victims! Just this past week, another prominent case involving a Jane Doe who was hit by a car in 1973 was also solved:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Janice_Young
And earlier this year, the famous "Caledonia Jane Doe" who was murdered in 1979 was also identified:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Tammy_Alexander
And even though it's not official yet, it seems pretty likely that Grateful Doe has been identified as well, so the Dana Point Jane Doe makes two UID cases from UM that have gotten closure this year.
According to this Reddit thread, the wheels to identify Holly Glynn were put in motion after a tip was sent to a Websleuths member named Carl Koppelman, who was also instrumental in getting the Caledonia Jane Doe identified a few months ago:

TheCars1986 05-22-2015, 07:37 AM So if I'm reading this right, her high school friends sought her out through social media, couldn't find any trace of her so they sought out missing persons cases and connected the dots that way. That's amazing.

If that's the case that is incredible.

Carl is a friend of mine. He's always got several irons in the fire, so to speak. As long as I've known him, he's always working a lot of different UID cases at the same time. I'm glad he's getting all these hits.
LooksLikeCRicci 05-22-2015, 11:42 AM I hear she was a gal who had a history of mental problems. I found a record of a mental health hearing, which I would assume is similar to an involuntary commitment, where the state seeks to get someone committed to a mental health facility. I think it was in January 1987.
She also apparently lived with her family in San Diego for quite some time up until shortly before her disappearance. So if she was homeless, it was only for a short period of time.
I'm so glad they've identified her. Maybe we can get some more answers.
Victoria81 05-22-2015, 03:10 PM Wow!!! I have always been fascinated by this case!!
This and the Sumner couple. Which, on another board could be solved at any moment as well. Love this!

Throw in the hopeful identification of Grateful Doe, and you just might have enough for a Listserve list, hmmm? :D :D

Good job!
Now if only we could find the person who killed Terri McClure, we'd be in good shape. ;)

Thanks! Honestly, with all the heated debate about it on this forum, I think that's officially earned the honour of the UM case I'd most like to see solved. Maybe if I write about it on Listverse, it'll be a good luck omen ;) .
Charli-Ann 05-23-2015, 01:37 AM Wow...I've always wondered about this case. So glad that she has been IDed after all these years.
neognosis 05-23-2015, 11:14 PM her friend Francine was the one to name her but I was the one that actually called OC and email them to get them a match, and i told them who her relatives are.
neognosis 05-23-2015, 11:17 PM I know there are alot of paranormal haters here, but for some reason, i only saw the episode once in 1996 and just around 2014 june or so i started thinking of her again. at the same time her friend posted on facebook she thinks DJPD is holly but did not follow up on it, so i did. so i helped solved a mystery!
WishfulDreamer 05-26-2015, 12:49 AM This is wonderful news. After almost three decades, I had wondered if she would ever be identified. I'm sorry she had so many problems and decided to end her life, but she was clearly loved and missed. I'm glad she has been identified.

Amazing work! Congratulations seems like an odd word to use here, but I thought I'd pass on that sentiment anyway. You may indeed have a unique calling to do this kind of work. Keep at it and keep us posted on your projects!
Do you have any knowledge of where Holly's family thought she was or if they were looking for her?

acording to her childhood friends, holly's parents seem to be deceased but tammy glynn is alive on well, on fb, and has zero interest.
but yeah me and DANCART both started thinking about her and at the same time her friend posted on fb her name.
we think holly's spirit chose me to be the chosen one
i originally signed up for this site b/c dpjd entered my mind again

That makes me so sad. I'm lucky enough to come from a loving family and can't imagine losing track of my siblings without shouting from the rooftops. Who knows what went on there - probably something too painful to deal with - but it's good to know that Holly's friends loved her and were looking for her after all these years.
You'll always have a special bond with Holly!!!
LilMissKryssy 05-27-2015, 01:37 PM Wow, that is amazing it has finally been solved! that's so great to finally have an answer! So happy. I hope that detective who was featured on UM is still alive and well and can finally have peace about this case.
Also, In all fairness to Holly's family, we don't yet know the full story. Remember Samantha Bonell's mom on Disappeared had to search endlessly on her own, night after night surfing websites to find her missing daughter. That was in 2005-2007 though. Back in the late 80s early 90s, this wasn't an available tool. If her family did, as I read, hire a private investigator, filed a missing persons report back in 87 and had news articles placed and all were to no avail, they might have simply given up hope. Years later, that wound might have been to painful to reopen by continuing the search. If her parents are deceased now, maybe its too painful for her sister as well. Also, if she did have mental illness which by the document provided I'm assuming it was severe (based on it was most likely a 72 hour type hold), her sister had probably resigned herself that Holly was gone. Again, I'm not sure but we truly have no idea what her family went through so I try to not judge and keep an open mind. It is amazing her friend was able to match the Jane Doe with Holly 28 years later.

Your brain works. You connected a missing persons case to someone who was missing their sibling. That's not a miracle, that stuff is bound to happen.
neognosis 05-27-2015, 11:04 PM DNA testing.
by miracle i mean that i saw the episode way back in 96. not thought of it since. i have watched ancient aliens monsterquest finding bigfoot paranormal witness.
for no reason around june 2014 i started thinking about that episode about that girl who jumped off a cliff.
it was on my mind a lot. apparently dancart also had the same thought same time. holly's friend same time decided to post it on fb.
i was the one that actually contacted OC. its solved now.
i think of the 7.5 billion people holly spirit chose me she knew i would be receptive and i would be the one who would actually get it done.
and that i am good looking :)

Not as much as they're missing 😜

i only started thinking about DPJD around june 2015, at the same time her friends posted her name on fb, i was the one that actually contacted OC with name and identification by email and phone.
dancart also started thinking about dpjd at same time i was.
too much of a coincidence

I'm sure you've recalled things many times over the years that had no significance. Just because you made a connection, doesn't mean anything supernatural happened.

there was an episode on UM where a asian woman was murdered and her spirit possessed another asian woman who told her husband who murdered her.
so what you are missing is something called UM

I'm actually at a loss for words...for real?!
DALLASTEXAN!! 05-28-2015, 05:35 PM That was the murder of teresita basa. That was maybe one of a very select few supernatural cases that UM ever featured that got solved due to strange circumstances. I'm still skeptical about that case and wonder what actually happened, but I will say that case is way more mysterious than the Dana point Jane doe case. So trying to compare this situation to that one is a bit much. What about the psychic cases that failed? Like the case in Oregon where an innocent man committed suicide due to a supernatural fraud?
I commend your efforts for helping this cause and I know you have been talking about the DPJD for a long time. Trying to convince others that a voice from
The grave spoke to you is a rough task.
