Just thought I'd share....


My mommy is having surgery on her thyroid tomorrow. She's got something growing on it...it begins with a g. It's not a big deal, but I just wanted to post it....sue me.

oh yea...

*ahem*

My moms previous medical history...in the last year and a half she's had 3 seizures. The first one she had just gotten out of the car...thank god...the second one she fell off the bed and fractured her neck and the 3rd one...well, she didnt even know if she had one or not, but the doctor said she did. And no one knows why shes having seizures either...weird...

Aww, I'm sorry. I hope she gets better. :)

my mommies medical history sucks just about as much.

2 years ago she noticed her... well groin hurt and it was a lymph node problem so she had to go for all these tests then she had to go in for surgery to fix it then she had to go on chemotherapy for 5 months over the summer so we were stuck here and I hate to be mean but everyone in my family agreed she complained so much it was annoying. She seriously used it against us.
"Dana unload the dishes"
"In a minute when the commercial comes on I will ok?"
"DO IT NOW!"
"IN A MINUTE!"
"IM SICK DANA AND I CANT DO IT MYSELF DO YOU CARE AT ALL!?!? MY LEGS HURT SO BAD THAT I CANT EVEN UNLOUD THE DISHES U ARE SO UNGRATEFUL!!!"

but I dont really blame her I mean when im sick I bitch and she wasnt always that bad... She got weird some days she was so sweet and mellow and others it was like "Im sick and Im gonna kill you." anyway she spent countless hours sobbing over loosing her hair. That I can understand. So then finally she gets off chemo and her hairs growin back and thats all she cares about... lol... And right after she goes off chemo she gets carpal tunnel syndrome and doesnt sleep for 2 weeks straight because i she lyed down her wrists killed her and she still had to go for CAT scans and other tests to make sure the stuff is gona and she promises to make it up to us by taking us to all the fun places down the shore because she couldn't last yr. Al I wanna do is go to disney land damnt. The farthest ive been out of this state was 30 minutes into Penn. Now is that sad or what? Im gonna move to SF when Im older just to prove to my parents they kept me here to much... Anyway that has nothing to do with either of or mothers... Anyway I kinda know what it feels like to have a sick mom... And mine wasnt really that annoying just like the day after Chemo i would always feel bad for thinking she was annoyng until wel.. I told my grandma and she said "Yeah I know she should shut up and go to sleep." which was kinda mean but oh well...

I FEEL YO PAIN SISTAH! Yo Momma shall ovacome!

I'm so sorry! I know how you feel, JinnyGirl. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about 1 and a half years ago, (The day after my bday is when they told me!!)

But after the pain medicine wears off, she used it against me so that I was doing all of the freakin housework.

But anyways, I'm sure that you're mom will be fine. Maybe they'll find that that's why she was having seizures! Some (a little) good would come out of it then!

I hope your mom will be okay. My mom has thyroid trouble also. She is having a real hard time with it right now. Is it a goiter your mom is having removed that is growing on her thyroid?

Okay she was supposed to go in for surgery at 1:00 and be at the hospital at 11:30 and it is now 6:17 and she just went in. *sigh* Hospitals...

Hope she's ok!!! =) Get better Amy's mommy!

Lordy....okay I got it straight....she went in at 4:45. It is now 8:59 and she is gonna be in there for another hour. They had to do "more extensive surgery than they thought." I dunno...no one tels me anything....They say she's gonna be okay, but it's still really scary....

I would be scared too, but she's in good hands, you know. Doctors are trained for this sort of thing!
