I think we all have them - a few or more segments in which we get mixed up on or confused. Just like how some people think one actor is this guy but its really another famous actor who kind of looks like him.

On Unsolved Mysteries I have maybe 4 segments where I get confused. the first is 2 segments, both which have a husband looking for his missing wife. Naturally the husband is a suspect too (Which I think is unfair). A lawyer who was sued from School pictures in Florida kidnapped the husband, who used to be a prominent man in School pictures business. Now I would get this segment confused with another UM one where a wife named Martha Doe Roberts was also kidnapped at her home just like Anne Lorrin. For a while when UM was no longer on I forgot about one of these and assumed there was only 1 case, not 2. But when I bought some old VHS recordings 2 years ago I then remembered 2 of them.

Also, another segment I get confused with another is the girl who walks at night down to a store in Las Vegas. She disappeared. I confused this with the Alaska segment where the girl is up very very early in the morning walking to school and waiting at the bus stop when its so dark and scary out. Scary for a boy and especially a young girl to be walking at that time. Anyways I didn't see either segment for a long time and forgot about the locations and sometimes would mix them up.

Plus there are 2 cases where a suspect breaks out of prison in a quiet manner. One guy (TK Harty pizza saloon case) hid in a garbage can under a garbage bag while the other segment a man quickly ran into a van that was about to leave the prison. Neither man took the regular route of climbing up a prison wall or running away. They just acted like little kids playing games of hide and seek lol and took off.

And then we have cases where a stupid naïve woman falls in love with an older cocky man only for him to kill her or a family member. I too got confused on the UM segments called Big Foot and Sasquatch. Thought they were same kind of species but some were in different areas of the country or world lol. Same goes for Oga Poga or Lochness. As a kid I first thought they were all in the same lake. I did not know Lochness was a city or lake, just assumed it was only the name of the mysterious sea creature.

Finally, the 2 UM cases of boat fraud! First is 4 or 5 people (2 couples) who owned a bar in Virginia City. (I was there last year for a visit). I guess the 2 men were captured, but they never found the 3 ladies? I got this confused with the boat fraud where a woman and her son got rescued by a Mexican fishing boat ironically that came by at the exact same time her boat was going down. It was discovered that there was no Mexican fisherman, nor his boat. The accident never happened. Her boat was still alive so to speak and her husband pretended to be a Mexican for a while. They were both later arrested. She ripped off insurance companies with life insurance policies on fake kids who died in fake car accidents going under the name Mary Crouch. funny name

Has this happened to you about an UM segment/case or person or suspect?
