I've only recently started watching this show, and it's been pretty interesting so far. There's been some particularly good episodes, like the Connecticut River Valley Killer episode that UM also explored, the Michigan child killer and the Jefferson Davis 8. Lots of good theories and interviews, especially with Jane Boroski.

If you've seen the show, what's your opinion on 13/Raven? I have a suspicion that neither of them are real, but are each both another criminal profiler with their voice distorted, giving the viewer the impression that it's a real locked up murderer. Very rarely do murderers talk about other murderer's M.O.'s or victims, instead focusing on themselves. Also, it's presented in a way that they're calling from prison on some payphone. The whole thing is just kind of worthless anyway, since most of the insightful comments come from John Kelley anyways.

I like this show but I don't know what to make of the supposed locked up informant. I agree it could just be a profiler or someone else but who knows. I just like M. William Phelps.

Yeah, I've started watching and am not completely sold on this 13 guy. I guess they felt they had to have some kind of gimmick in order to lure in viewers, but I think the show's interesting enough without it. That first episode about the Connecticut River Valley Killer...It's one of those things where all you can do is say, "Jesus!" I'd heard about the case on UM, but good lord! What really gets me is that part in the segment with the guy who thinks his father might have been the Connecticut River Valley Killer...I really want to know if the DNA tests have been done and if anything had been proven. Because, Good Lord...

Okay, I suppose I shouldn't go around resurrecting threads, but it just seemed easier is all.

I have watched all three seasons and gotta admit, while I don't entirely believe that Thirteen or Raven are legit, it's still pretty cool. A show dedicated to unsolved serial killers is interesting enough on its own, without having to throw in Thirteen or Raven as a gimmick.

The episode on the Long Island Serial Killer...I'd heard about said killer thanks to the Shannan Gilbert episode of Disappeared, but Dark Minds's episode was interesting as well. Like apparently a sister of one of the murdered girls, for a few days after her sister was killed, she received phone calls from her sister's cell phone from a guy who talked about torturing her and... :O

I've finally started watching this show, and I'm trying to catch up on all the episodes. I agree that the serial killer on the phone is gimmicky...even if he is real, I don't think he adds a lot to the discussion. Oh, you think the killer is a local? What an insight!

However, the production value of the show is very good, and he's highlighting unsolved cases...even a few I'd never heard of. We need more shows like this!
