My brother Billy's birthday is tomorrow also. We always celebrate together and more often than not Mother's Day falls in there closely so Mother's Day and our birthdays are usually celebrated altogether. My Mom always makes me a strawberry pie. Next Tuesday my sister Leah is coming over with a cake as she can't be with me on my birthday. :)

Thanks Marlene, and again, I'm really sorry. Two years in a row, I think I'd wonder if something was up, but it wasn't. You know I love ya. We're the elders of this group, right?

Yeah, my husband's not too healthy these days. Aside from more serious issues, his knee started hurting him and swelled up last week. He tried waiting it out, but finally went to the ER. It was water in the knee, so it had to be drained. He had to take an ambulance in because he was in too much pain, and he's too heavy for me to assist. To make matters worse, he's still in pain.

Ugh, it's always something!!

Hoping your Mom is better from her fall Marlene, and hoping all the best for your hubby, Janice. :) I feel blessed my Dad just celebrated his 85th birthday the other day in good health, but sad it was without my Mom who already passed (she would have been 85 a few weeks ago)! But Dad is seeming very old now, and I was sad I couldn't make it home for his birthday in Pa. When I call he just sounds so old now and he misses my Mom. No matter what, I will be there this time next year for his birthday, Life is short, time goes by so fast! Love to all and all our loved ones! :)

Mom is recovering nicely. She's still in some pain but mending. She's 85 so a fall at her age can be very serious. We're just grateful she didn't break a hip.
