Hallmark Lands Syndication Rights to "Last Man Standing"

That was quick... mere days after scoring a renewal, off-network rights to Tim Allen starrer "Last Man Standing" have landed at Hallmark.

The comedy, produced by 20th Century Fox, was renewed on Sunday for a fifth season — a key hurdle in getting the family comedy to the key 100-episode benchmark for syndication.

The multi-camera comedy will debut on Hallmark's roster in January, where it will join syndicated repeats of Allen's "Home Improvement" as well as "The Middle".




"As classic sitcom schedule continues to grow and bring in a solid ratings performance, 'Last Man Standing' fits right into the model of family friendly entertainment that is at the core of our programming values," says Darren Melameth, senior vp program planning and acquisitions at Hallmark Channel parent Crown Media Family Networks.

"Among the cluttered landscape of more risqué television sitcoms, Last Man Standing approaches its portrayal of family life with a humor and attitude that is just right for the Hallmark Channel brand, creating the perfect comedy block starting next year."

I dont watch the show but I dont have high hopes for it. This is Hallmark Channel after all. It wouldnt shock me if they pull the show after a month.

I would like Home Improvement to return to the Hallmark Channel this fall!!!

Last Man Standing will also be airing on ABC Family starting Monday September 28. I hope Home Improvement will return to Hallmark Channel this January with the coming of Last Man Standing.

They should replace Frasier and Cheers with Home Improvement and Last Man Standing this January on the Hallmark Channel.

Last Man Standing is now airing on the Hallmark Channel Weeknights 6PM-9PM.
