What episodes were skipped? Perhaps they were skipped so they could air in the Mother's Day marathon.

Possible that those shows had music clearance issues and were pulled out of the syndication package.

Yeah I found out that was the reason and if I had known I would have recorded the marathon

Doubtful because these episodes are always seen in syndication

You should have recorded the marathon just so you can see those episodes. You're a strange person. Strange is a way that makes this board exciting.

I taped them all and will watch as they come to the right spot in the run.
Except for one blocked by stupid philly feud show.

I couldnt really get into the marathon. I say this because they jumped around each season. I understand why but for somebody who hasnt seen episodes or season in over a decade, its tough to watch. EX., I watched an episode with Nick and then Nick was gone. Julie was in it and then she wasnt.

There was just too many shows for me to tape them all. I taped the season 3 and 4 episodes plus the final.

sounds like a rights issue to me. Meaning, maybe they had some contractual issue preventing them from airing those episodes?

That is not the case! I have seen these episodes in syndication many times so it is not a rights problem. They simply skipped over the episodes but usually air them during another cycle.

You must not have a DVR or have too much space used on the one you have.

If you have a DVR then you could record the whole marathon. I recorded the whole thing and it didn't even come close to filling the DVR. I have recorded 72 hour marathons of shows before so it is only too many episodes if you are recording them manually.

I dont have a DVR. How does it work? If you DVR'd something and for whatever reason, want to watch it 6 months from now, will it still be on there?

I've had things on my DVR that's a year old. I usually end up deleting them eventually.lol As long as you're careful how much space you have left, it tells you.

I don't have a DVR because it's another way for Comcast to get money from me................$10 a month

Oh, I understand now. So basically it wouldnt be a bad thing to invest if your like me and like taping stuff?

And yeah, Solomon, I agree. Bad enough the cable is as high as it is without DVR box.

For the One Day at a Time Marathon they couldn't air all the episodes because it was on 9 years and the marathon went on until 3 am.

They skipped an episode of Newhart tonight.

The one they played instead was hilarious though. So, I'm cool with it. Still weird they skipped it though.

I know this about Antenna TV, but I thought I would talk about Nick at Nite a little. When Nick at Nite rejoined Brady Bunch in the lineup started in mid May 2012, they started out running episodes in order, but they skipped musical episodes, like "Getting Davy Jones" and "Dough Re Mi". But that was until Brady Bunch lasted late Jun 2012, stopped at the end of season 3.

Sad job when the Brady Bunch is only for 3 months and not only that they skip episodes as well.

As far as Antenna TV goes, they did seem to air One Day at a Time out of order the past few days. They jumped from the end of season 4 to the New Year's episode of season 5.

Strange they aired that New Years episode of One Day at a Time and then I saw in the schedule they went back to the second episode of Season 5 and are going in order from there but skipping over the New Years one since they just aired it early. They also skipped the first episode of Season 5, which I'm assuming must have been shown in the marathon.

Looking at the upcoming program info on the Antenna TV page, I see a few other One Day at a Time episodes are being skipped, probably because they aired also in th marathon and I see Season 6 will begin on Sunday, June 7.

Antenna TV is also doing odd things with THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM - they are not running them in order.

I have to keep a log to keep track of what and how they are running them.

There are 105 or so filmed episodes in the syndication package (None of the kinescopes, tape-tape to kine are in the current package, and some of the filmed shows are not a well.)

How hard is it to run them in order for gosh sakes!

...and for those keeping track, there's a couple-three BURNS AND ALLEN shows not in the package due to content and subject matter.

I was watching an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show yesterday. Last year I was able to get the entire series on blu-ray for a song (It was CHEAPER than the standard DVD) from "The Big River" and I found out why I got it so cheap, The Episodes are out of sequence! omg:

But that's OK, and I forgive the distributors (Image Entertainment), since the episodes are in pristine condition, and IMO that's the most important thing. Besides, nobody's perfect! :D  :rotflmao: :brent
