I know what you mean about birthdays losing steam although my last birthday, when I turned 50, was pretty good. I hope your birthday will be a good one too! :birthday:

Yeah, and it seemed like my father enjoyed his last birthday (his 70th) very much, despite the fact that he was so ill that he didn't live another month. Because many people had come to celebrate him. So I guess you can always make the best out of things... :(

I guess its what you make of your birthday. I'm kind of blah about it to be honest. I guess birthdays for me never really meant anything. I just guess its kind of depressing because even on your birthday, your day isnt perfect, you know?

I'm still somewhat lonely a lot. I dont have a girlfriend. I still dont have a job. I dont think I've had a birthday party, per say, in about 20 years. This might come off as shallow to some, but I wish my birthday was kind of like an event, you know?

I mean for the most part, it seems like any other day. With that being said I appreciate the birthday wishes. I really do. Hell, you guys wish me a Happy Birthday more than some of my so called Facebook "friends." Although I will say that a lot of them wished me Happy Birthday on Facebook which I appreciate, but there are others that dont give you thet time of day.
