And I thought things were bad this past winter with only a couple of shows on. :(
I was looking at the DVR schedule, the only shows recording are 2 episodes of Adam-12 per day M-F and 1 episode of Match Game per day M-F.
:(

We were talking about this at work last night, (group of Nurses and some male staff) about 15 of us in the cafeteria and they all agreed, this is worst it's ever been. Most of them have cut the cord because they are sick of it. I am so tempted to just go ahead and do it but since we couldn't even get one local channel it keeps me hanging in there.
We could settle and watch Reality and the sitcoms offered but we don't like them and no amount of boredom and desperation will change that.

Halt & Catch Fire on amc starts back at the end of May. Also Baby Daddy (abc family), Devious Maids (lifetime), Defiance (syfy), Rizzoli & Isles (tnt), True Detective (hbo), Rookie Blue (abc), Under the Dome (cbs), Falling Skies (tnt), and Teen Wolf (mtv) all start back in June. They're mostly dramas though but I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't even get excited about the shows I do watch. I have a lot of them backloaded on my DVR. It's May. Back in the old days I couldn't wait for the big May finales and now Mehh. I might just cut the cord with a bunch of them. As for summer, I've never really watched much tv during that time of year. This year will be no different.

Thanks to my TV on DVD collection, my viewing schedule is never boring but as far as regular TV the only show I watch in the summer is "Days of Our Lives"---I watch it daily.

My husband has cancer, that tends to change the things you would normally do. We are sticking close to home because he is staying so tired from the radiation etc. Watching TV is something he can lay on the couch and do without much effort. Granted it's not real exciting but its reality sometimes.

Reality is NEVER exciting. That's why I swear all these so-called "reality" shows aren't real.

Rookie Blue comes back June 25 and I like that. Celebrity Family Feud is June 21 and I like regular Family Feud. Hollywood Game night is July 7 and I like that. Last Comic Standing is July 22 and I like that. Aquarius on May 28 looks good since I grew up in the 60's.

Oh I'm so sorry Patty Duke. Me and my big mouth sometimes! In that case I totally understand. Have you thought about subscribing to Netflix? A nephew of mine and his family have it and are really happy with it. And I don't think it costs that much a month.

The Whispers looks really promising, I've loved the ads for it. The Whispers will be airing Mondays at 10:01 on ABC starting next week. I've also been enjoying the weeklong 500 Questions game show event, airs every night at 8:00 on ABC with a 2 hour finale on Thursday. And I would consider 500 Questions a family friendly show that doesn't have objectionable content.

I'm going to try 'The Astronaut Wives Club'. It's supposed start June 18th. I hope it's as good as it sounds but afraid to get my hopes up.

Based on Lily Koppel's best-selling titular novel, which tells the real story of the women who stood beside some of the biggest heroes in American history during the height of the space race.

I try most shows with the exception of Reality. Just because there are shows on doesn't mean they are shows worth watching. Just my humble opinion.

I'm going to check out The Whispers too. I also watch Salem on Sunday nights at 10 pm on WGN America. But if you aren't down with gore and sex and violence that can outdo Game of Thrones at times, this show is not for you. And Doctor Who comes back in August, but that's late in the summer and I consider that more of a fall show.

I don't follow a lot of shows and I tend to read more in the summer too. I also watch movies and old shows on YouTube, which is perfect for those stormy evenings and weekends!

I got my hopes up with Aquarius and I was disappointed. I thought it would be more about the 60's and not so much on Charles Mansion.

I was having trouble keeping up with it! Seemed it was all over the place or something. And the guy they have playing Manson looks NOTHING like him. I found it sort of confusing!

^I like "Wayward Pines". I've been watching with my mom...she also loves it and can't wait for the next episode.

I usually use the Summer to catch up on my DVD watching.

I can see it's going to be a Netflix/Redbox summer. Not a big deal. I can live with that. I will be watching my many DVD sitcom sets over and over. But then there is Sitcoms online to help with the boredom. I can spend hours on here just scanning the pages. Commenting on the many threads. What was it that Maxwell Smart said? "Annnnddd.....Loving It!!!"

I watched The Whispers. Then I read online it's based on Ray Bradbury's story The Zero Hour, which I'm very familiar with, so I already know most of the plot. I don't know how they're going to drag out a short story but based off the bad acting from some of the child co-stars, I'm going to take a pass on this. The original story I've seen done on Ray Bradbury Theater back in the 80's, and this could have stayed as a 2 hour TV movie easily, not a whole series.

Someone just sent me One Day At A Time Season 5 -the end of the series, and I pulled out The Invaders, plus I am working On Columbo right now. I also just finished MASH off and working on Get Smart and Hogans Heroes.

And I have about 1200 episodes of Show on my DVR to work my way thru.

I hope y'all know how lucky you are that you can get any of those channels, many of us can't. And I can't watch youtube because we don't have unlimited internet where we live.
Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well and we can sell our home and move within a couple of years.

I try most new shows hoping for something we'll like. I did watch Zoo last night but it kind of freaked me out to be honest.

Nope, we aren't into super hero's, horror, fantasy. I guess we are pretty boring, we prefer sitcoms that are funny without being crude and nasty. The funny thing is we're in the demographic age that the networks strive for but we hate most of the new stuff they offer.
