(The Atlanta Falcons beat the Brooklyn Nets 107-97.)
(Ralph & Ed just watched the game in the Kramden apartment.)
Ralph: "What a deplorable game Ed. That game was BAD."
Ed: "The Hawks really pounded the Nets. Now, the Nets have a small chance of advancing."
Ralph: "I want the Hawks to continue their drought and teach that BUM Ted Turner a lesson."
Ed: "You should go down to Atlanta and tell him. I want to come with you. I want to see the CNN Center while they are showing news."
Ralph: "Never mind that. The Nets really need our help. The next home game, we got to attend it and show the Nets that we really are big fans."
Ed: "Well, you are a BIG fan."
Ralph: "Oh, you are a riot Norton. A real riot."
Ed: "By the way, I can't come. Trixie's mother is coming and I have to be there."
Ralph: "Well, are you going to show her who's boss? Say that you are attending the game."
Ed: "I will. I will go right up there now."
(Ed does. Noise is heard.)
Ed (from upstairs, yells): "PUT DOWN THAT SOUP BOWL TRIXIE."
(Trixie throws the soup bowl. A crash is heard.)
Ralph (yells to himself): "I WILL GO UP THERE AND TELL TRIXIE THAT A HUSBAND IS THE BOSS."
(Ralph leaves.)
(Alice comes out and goes into the hallway with a bowl of soup.)
Alice (yells): "RALPH, I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT HUSBANDS."
(Later on, the boys come home with soup all over them.)
Ed: "The wives were angry with us and fighting with us. We got soup all over us. The wives set us straight and now we have to see our mother-in-laws instead of the Nets game.
Ralph (yells): "NORTON, IF YOU SAY ONE MORE WORD ABOUT THAT GAME THAT WE WILL MISS, I WILL KO YOU."
(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)
Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!"
(Crowd cheers.)
