View Full Version : Tires, Tires and More Tires
Smartboy 04-28-2015, 02:40 PM It seems that all of the pages for shows that I have any interest in have been pretty dead for a long time. Stimulating any conversation about any of the shows that I like seems to be quite a challenge. However, in the recent past, I did manage to get a couple of replies to threads that I had started on the "Gimme a Break!" page. I have also been to the "Mad About You" page and started two threads that, so far, have views but no replies. However, there is one observation that I have made while trying to stimulate some conversation that I have found to be quite interesting. As I am sure that most of you know, in order for sites like this to stay in business, they need the support of sponsors. That is why you see ad after ad when you come to these sites. It is the same thing over on You Tube. Well, one thing that I have noticed in the recent past is promotion after promotion for different types of tires! All over these pages are ads put out by companies that make tires not to mention outlets that sell tires! These include tires that are made in the United States, France and Italy. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has any ideas why there is, all of a sudden, such a big push for tires. I recently posted a thread about this topic on the "Gimme a Break!" page. This thread is one of a rather small minority of threads started by me that managed to generate a reply.
tlc38tlc38 04-28-2015, 02:47 PM I'm sorry but I have to ask...are you real or a bot? Your threads are nonsense and make absolutely no sense.

I do not know what a bot is. Please fill me in.
pkripper001 04-28-2015, 08:36 PM I think the bot in question is an internet bot, also known as web robot.
It is a software application that
runs automated tasks over the internet.Typically,
bots perform tasks that are simple,
at a much faster rate than
would be possible for a human alone.
No tires yet,but Ford and NISSAN ads, which have tires on there vehicles.
What are all the shows you have interest in ?
After you list them,I will try to lead you to the ones,if any, that are the best.
Your best bet,if you have any interest in them,is to post on shows that there first air date of the series was 1980 or before that, there is some exceptions to that rule, but for the most part, that is the way it is.Unsolved mysteries is one of those exceptions to the rule.

In the first place, when I come to this site, the vast majority of the time, I go to the pages of "Caroline in the City", "Gimme a Break!" and "Mad About You". The main reason for this is that all of these shows feature females that can really make me drool! I do what I can to stimulate conversation about these fine series, but I have very little success. On top of this, this is the second time that you have responded to one of my threads telling me that you have not seen any ads for tires. Well, when I got to the section of this site that featured shows beginning with the letter c, low and behold was an ad for Pirrelli Tires which are told at the Tire Rack! The company is sponsoring some sort of contest in which the prize is a trip to Italy. I guess the fact that we see different ads when we visit the same site is because we live in different regions of the country. I guess that the company that owns this site contracts with different companies in different parts of the country. In any event, nice chatting with you!
