View Full Version : Anyone from Baltimore ?
tiredmike59 04-28-2015, 10:58 AM Now that the sun's out what's it look like there?
Any rioting or looting going on today?
Did the National Guard show up?
I can't get anything on my local news.
Mr. Television 04-28-2015, 12:02 PM I don't live in Baltimore but I do have a local affiliate there. They were on half the night. It looks like it's been pretty quiet today. The National Guard finally showed up after I went to bed. Very sad what went on there last night. Looters destroying their neighborhoods and the police just standing around and doing nothing. I'm waiting to see if the Orioles game is going to be played tonight. Everyone has a 10 PM curfew.

Tonight's Orioles game has been postponed as well as the Raven's draft party.
tiredmike59 04-28-2015, 01:30 PM I was picking up the coverage on live stream but It's not coming in today.
Seems like they did the same exact thing as far as protecting the businesses as they did in Ferguson. I heard that senior citizen building that got torched cost 16 million.
Penny Lane 04-28-2015, 01:49 PM I don't live anywhere near Baltimore but I remember the Detroit riots in the 60's. It was devastating!
This incident in Baltimore is a tragic state of affairs. They should know by now that rioting and looting accomplishes nothing. It only makes things worse. There is very little sympathy for hoodlums.

Yeah! The riots in Los Angeles in 1992 were horrible! My neighborhood didn't get hit that bad, Thank God but not too far all around things were burning up and it was scary just to leave the house because of all the violence. :( And all the business looted and losing so much money and/or getting completely destroyed! :(
MrCleveland 04-28-2015, 04:25 PM No...but this is a big blow for Baltimore...
I won't be surprised that there'll be some people coming to Washington D.C. to find safe refuge after this...
mets82 04-28-2015, 05:07 PM I dont understand how people looting is going to solve everything. I mean the people that there attacking and looting on there side. Businesses and homes destroyed. Uncessary.

I heard on the radio that the Orioles will be playing the White Sox tomorrow in an empty stadium. That has to be a first, I never heard of that before.
LarkRiser 04-28-2015, 08:14 PM I live a few miles outside the city lines. I'm disgusted.

It almost sounds like a Cleveland Indians game...you see how they're playing?

I wish I could see a couple of innings to that game. The closest to an empty stadium game I ever saw was a few years ago when the Florida Marlins were on tv and it didn't even look like a thousand people in the stands. It was so quiet I bet if a fan farted I would be able to hear it.

No, I just get over the air channels. Hopefully they will have highlights on my local news.
isiahthomas 05-05-2015, 04:06 PM LOL@Tiredmike59 and MrCleveland hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I live about a hour from Baltimore. I'm in Fort Washington and I heard about the rioting and looting there and that's sad. I hate ignorant blacks. Ignorant blacks are always taking advantage of situations like that to try to prove a point to the cops but what they're doing is making their neighborhood even worse. The store owners in that black neighborhood where they rioted and burned the stores are gonna get a lot of insurance money. I bet their dumb asses are gonna open back up their businesses because they don't care about what happened. They just wanna make money off the poor blacks because that's all they care about. Foreigners who own those stores are stupid for going to black neighborhoods to own businesses. Black neighborhoods aren't safe because of black on black crime. You never see any whites owning businesses in black neighborhoods because they know a lot of blacks are crazy LOL.
tiredmike59 05-07-2015, 12:35 AM Isiahthomas,
I don't know too much about the Baltimore situation but I read that some of the business owners in Ferguson did not receive money from the insurance companies because they were not covered for civil unrest. Yes, a lot of the business owners in black neighborhoods around here are foreigners, there was a Korean family who moved here to get away from trouble in their own country and started a business in Ferguson but after getting burned out twice during the riots said " F**k it " and moved back to Korea. There are still a few white owners in Ferguson and one of them was pleased to see a group of black men armed with shotguns guarding his store on the news during the riots.
