Hey guys,

I remember watching a case on the Farina version of UM. It was a Lost Loves case, and I'm sure it involved an interracial couple. It must have took place in or around the 1950's, because I seem to remember that at the time the girls parents had major issues with her dating a black guy.

I'm a little sketchy on the details, but I think he got her pregnant and he had to leave or else he would be in big trouble. It said on the segment that just as he was leaving on his motorbike the girls parents arrived back at the house. He never saw her again for years, until after UM broadcast their story.

I have never seen the Stack version of this segment, but for some reason it always seems to stick in my mind, and I cannot for the life of me find out which story this was. I have tried searching on the UM Wiki, but with no luck.

If anyone could let me know what this case was, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

The interracial couple was John Elias and Eleanor Pratt. They found their daughter, Sally Lou Riley, after Sally's co-worker watched the segment and put two and two together. It's been a long time since I saw the segment, but I don't recall any mention of a motorbike (in which case, you're probably thinking of the Paul McDonald segment).

Thanks again.

Shall we dub this the "help me identify a case" thread?
