Which stars/ current tv shows do you think will be around 10, 20 or even 30 years from now? When I mean stars you can include those in other fields like music and movies. Do you think any of the current tv shows will have the staying power( in terms of putting out new shows ) as Cheers, MASH, Alice, had?

I myself believe many of them will be around for awhile. The Survivor show I think will disappear maybe within a year or two as it is in my opinion a "fad".

Anne Heche is one of the few actors who I think wont be around much longer . Watching her interviews recently I believed she "dumped Ellen" and got married only for PR. Isnt her new hubby the son of one of the richest families in Kentucky? Talk about publicity. Maybe I'm wrong but I cant help thinkig she is doing all this because she is "desperate".

Backstreet Boys and N Sync as well as Miss Spears as well as the other bands in my opinion will be around a lot longer than many of the teen stars in the past. 30 years ago if David Cassidy was seen smoking a cigarette it would upset many. Today who cares !! I have yet to see a pic of Kid Rock
without aeither a cigar/ cigarette.

Andy Gibb, Ricky Nelson , Bobby Sherman displaying tattoos and nose rings? Unthinkable !! Today many bands do it. In other words many of todays stars can get away with a lot more than those of yesterday.

Funny to think about it but I have a book somewhere in my colection that said that Olive Osmond wouldnt allow photos that showed certain areas of Donny and Marie or the other Osmonds for that matter.

Time will tell!!

hmmm- I think most of the actors/bands/singers won't have much staying power. The only one that I predict music wise as having a long career is Alicia Keyes.

Hottest Men alive:
Dale Midkiff
Anthony Starke
Tim McGraw
Jonathan Crombie

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Dale Midkiff is my man! :)

I agree, today's stars dont have all that much staying power.

Agree with BB aboiut Anne Heche. I laughed when she got "married". After all what has she done recently besides her book and dumping Ellen?

Most of the current TV shows chances are wont be remembered 20 years from now, at least not in the same way as the classics.

As far as the "teen stars", they wont be around much longer either. Maybe they are allowed to do things past teen stars were not allowed to do. Jack Wild was already into cigarettes and drugs when he was doing HR Puffinstuff ( I know I mispelled that ).

But they will get tired sooner or later of cranking out the same old music and fans will tire of them too.

"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"
"The Price Is Right"
"Wheel of Fortune"
"Jeopardy!"

I see all of these still on 30 years from now.

Tv Sitcoms have come and gone, but u can still watch it on tv now. I mean, I love Lucy will live on forever and i can always "pop" ur nysnc cd in ur stero, so alot of things will still be around, it will never die.
