with the way that their characters were depicted? For example, John Stamos as legend has it, wanted Jesse's surname to be changed from "Cochran" to "Katsopolis" because he wanted the producers to highlight is real life Greek heritage. And naturally, we along the way, got various arguable Greek stereotypes in the form of Jesse's long distance relatives in the episode "Greek Week" and when John pulled "double-duty" as Cousin Stavros:

And of course since John Stamos is in real life, tight w/ the Beach Boys, the Beach Boys in return had to have near recurrent roles on Full House.

Then there's Joey Gladstone always wearing Detroit Tigers and Red Wings gear even though he lives in San Francisco, thus, wouldn't he logically, be a Giants and San Jose Sharks fan (yes, I know that the Sharks didn't come into existence until about four and a half years after Full House debuted), since Dave Coulier is from Michigan in real life. At first I would think, because Joey's dad was in the military, he had to move around a lot. But then, I can't help but think of the episode which flashes back to the time in elementary school in which Joey and Danny (wearing his Giants cap, thus indicating that he grew up in San Francisco) first became best friends.
