After the success of Lynda Carter's '70s Wonder Woman, it's been a struggle to put the superhero character on the big screen or back on the small screen.

Thank you for the link. I followed it, and wondered what I saw in that image. Was I looking at the resurrection of the old, brown tone dauguerotypes (?)? Or is this actress wearing a costume made frome tarnished copper segments in a carvel construction? So that explain why she look like she has a case of the &&&\mad.

If so, then I too would have nixed that proposal. Lynda Carter made a tough act to follow, but it is not impossible.

One thing: Scrap the boots with the bare thighs. That was euughhh even on Lynda Carter and Go go.

After the success of Lynda Carter's '70s Wonder Woman, it's been a struggle to put the superhero character on the big screen or back on the small screen.

As a result of Lynda Carter's WW, especially in the first season when it seemed to conform to the original intent of the character, WW is Not cursed for movies and TV series, but it is NOT forgiving pig's breakfasts of plots, scripts, characters, costume, scenery, &c.

Just about everything I have read, winkling out this question, use an awful lot of "Stuff" and events, and bad guys, she get killed, resurrected, and going through the catalog of catastrophes, all over again, and then it start all over again with the next structure. She seem denied a bit of comfort and happiness, and that is sooOOOH not WW.

And then there is the costume issue. http://comicvine.gamespot.com/articles/wonder-woman-live-action-shorts-look/1100-143081/ Has a "Shorts look." She is not wearing shorts. She is wearing crotch floss. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/icons/icon13.gif

http://freebeacon.com/blog/exclusive-sofia-coppolas-wonder-woman-script/ Meagan Fox look nice, for a bathing beauty, but she need a little more muscle to carry off the character. In that, I submit that Adrianne Palicki look more like for the character, and the latter costume, with the flat boots, look a bit like form follow'd function. The longer gauntlets from WW/LC is a good touch. BTW, a bit of red for her lips would not be a distraction, but her bare lips are too, not right.

Again, Lynda Carter's WW season one, was plotted about right. It was WWII period, and today, that can be a technical problem, as some of the scenery, vehicles, aircraft, &c. are getting beyond their real usable life. Also, reconstruction of the WWII era aircraft is not as doable as was the pre-WWI aircraft used in Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines....

After all, in that, the big enemy was the Nazi's. WW got gassed or chloroformed a few times, which left her vulnerable to the Nazi's winning that stage of the battle. She did what WW could do, and her support did what they could do, with little need to suspend disbelief, for a battle won by the end of the episode. As for that double episode with Andros, it is a good nod to those who can believe that extra terrestrial intelligences observed and played a part in the outcome of WWII.

When it comes to comic book heroines when the time comes to do a series based on them it is hard to find a good comic book heroine to base a series on. Wonder Woman is one of them and from the time the Wonder Woman TV came out it became a instant hit but when it ended it's run I think it could've still ran a few more years had they not replaced Lynda Carter with gymnast Cathy Rigby in the Wonder Woman role but since then there hasn't any other Wonder Woman TV series besides the cartoons and movie franchise for it. And I can guarantee you that now that the newest Wonder Woman movie is a hit I can tell you that there will be possibly plans for a new Wonder Woman TV series in the works. But Wonder Woman has become a big celebrity now and you can never go to any store without seeing Wonder Woman merchandise from action figures to dolls to t-shirts and anything else and she is also one of the stars of the DC Superhero Girls cartoon. So I don't think Wonder Woman is cursed for movies and TV I think they just don't know how to market it well. But if they developed a series called Diana about Diana Prince before she became Wonder Woman it would be a hit
