The focus on three minor characters set the stage for the rest of the season. PLUS: It was an unsatisfying episode by design (http://www.salon.com/2015/04/13/mad_men_recap_don_draper_is_an_aging_sloppy_selfish_liar/), and it was still frustrating and dull (http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watching/review-mad-men-new-business-divorce-american-style) even for those with a high tolerance for Don Draper not changing.

Mad Men has been over for about three years now. The show just drags like a dead leg. I'm sticking with it because I want to watch it to the end, but the writing is lifeless and pointless now. They better have one hell of a finale, or I will be disappointed.

For the record, the show has been going down since Don left Betty.
