Wawwie 04-12-2015, 08:12 PM ^^^ All that's true.
I thought it was very cool that the Willis' had a back door in their kitchen. I always wondered why the Jeffersons did not have a back door.

I also want to know why Sherman Hemsley wore his hair in a afro type of style when he was losing his hair? lol
Now he should have known that by him having no hair on the top that he was supposed to have it cut low on the back and sides lol He had a HALFRO:lol:

Balding men did that back than! I guess they wanted to hold on to the hair they had and keep it longer in the places they had hair even if it looked goofy! Either that or they did a comb over which was really awful! :D
Like this guy from the Ropers , his hair was goofy too!

Not saying he should have gotten a bald head but it was we weird that he thought he could have a afro with no hair on top. In season 3 in the first 2 eps his hair looks very nice and low but for some reason he never had it like that again. Lol
cleverfun3000 04-13-2015, 05:48 PM We also never saw the doorman call up the Jeffersons on their intercom to announce the arrival of one of their guests. This was a high-rise upscale apartment building - yet unexpected and uninvited guests often came up to the Jeffersons floor and knocked on their door.

Oh, sure they did. It was in the fourth wall. :) Just like their TV/stereo combo was against the fourth living room wall.

yeah it wasn't mentioned whether Louise parents were dead or alive
I guess we had to assume they were dead

I don't know about Louise's mother, but her father was a dead beat who abandoned her when she was a small child. Louise assumed he was dead, but George found him alive and well.

Actually, we DID see Louise's mother Mrs. Mills in a flashback episode in which Louise came back to her childhood apartment that had become a condemned tenement and ruminated about how much her mother favored the sister who'd run away over her. However; it ended on a nice note with Mrs. Mills actually admitting her love for Louise and giving her approval for Louise's impending marriage to George as Louise was leaving home. Lastly, the contemporary Louise pried off the glass doorknob that she'd always imagined were diamonds as a child before leaving it to be demolished.
Since there were no more mentions of Mrs. Mills in any recollections of Louise, George, Lionel or Mother Jefferson, it's somewhat a safe bet that Mrs. Mills died shortly after Louise's marriage and never got to meet her grandson.

Yeah, I know. I recall that flashback ep. And the Doorknobs Shined Like Diamonds. But that was just a flashback ep., and I was talking about if Mrs. Mills appeared in the then-present like Weezy's long-lost father, Harold, did.
