I mean, WHY is he so likeable?? He is such a cad. Even to his friends he is an outright jerk sometimes.

I'm just curious to see if anyone who watched the show disliked the Larry character. And if you liked him, why did you like him?

Nope. I like Larry too. I enjoyed all his zany schemes. He never failed to amuse. Larry Dallas is just....a lovable rogue.

I was watching the episode "Jack Takes Off" last night and while it was lousy how he sold Jack's nude painting to the Beagle, I guess you like it because it's funny.

It's embarrassing to Jack, but that's his problem, not yours, right?

In the end Larry's not boring, and that's what matters more than anything I guess.

Yeah like others have mentioned, its impossible to hate on Larry, he's too likable and a funny character that plays off Jack well, and while he may be a ladies man at least he's not a sleazebag like other TV characters such as Dan Fielding (Night Court), and Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother).

I think he was one of those characters you enjoyed hating, but secretly cheered on. At least that's my attitude toward him.

Larry was a sleezebucket, but they tended to dance around it. I do think he had something deep down for Greedy Gretchen, though.

I wish they had given Larry a spin-off. I would have loved to see him work his magic in the used-car lot, or follow his various goofs with women.

And there were a couple times in Three's Company when Larry was jetting off to Las Vegas or San Francisco for a weekend....I wonder what kind of hijinx he got into while there!

And I have to say, he was a total sleazebag. There was a line in "And Justice for Jack" when he mentioned that a secretary at his workplace informed him about sexual harassment laws. He must have done something extra sleazy to get that lecture. And let's not forget all the fake names he used to love 'em and leave 'em.

I think Jack was a "ladies man"---a guy who loves women and loves being around women, but doesn't cross over into total jerk/sleaze territory.

And just think, this show started in a pre-HIV awareness world. Imagine the VD that Larry was probably passing around.

Still, I found him to be the most physically attractive of the few male characters on the show. Jack was more marriageable, if that makes sense, but Larry seems like the kind of guy who would be an unforgettable, regrettable two weeks, lol.

Not sure why him and Jack was friends because they had nothing in common.

Larry would have been happy his sexy date kicked the Fat girl out

Larry would have moved in with Vicky without getting married

I think that was why they were friends. Each of them admired or wanted to be what the other one was. Jack dreamed of being a carefree sex-maniac, and Larry found Jack's goodness refreshing.

And Larry nailed it in the last episode--he said Jack was his only friend. I think that sums it up.
