episode of them going to LAS VEGAS instead of "Atlantic City?

Or was Atlantic City considered BIG TIME back in 1984? It just looked funny seeing George in AC when he had the money to go to bigger places

George probably felt more comfortable in Atlantic City especially since New Jersey is like right around the corner from New York.

The casino's and gambling in Atlantic city just started in 1978! So everything there was really new and fresh still and a big deal back in 1984. ;)

Yeah, that too! ;) And maybe George didn't like to fly! That would have made a funny ep though, George on an airplane being rude to the flight attendant !

I also liked when Fred and Lamont flew to St. Louis. Fred brought along his own greasy bag of fried chicken wings!

As for George Jefferson, I don't even remember him on the plane when they all traveled to Hawaii. I just remember him in Hawaii and then getting stranded on some rinky-dink boat with Tom Willis.

They may have been a plane scene, because remember we never saw the uncut version of season 9

That's true. A plane scene might have been edited out.

there is a plane scene in the Hawaiian episode. The characters are looking out the window at Hawaii for the first time. it's on the Season 7 DVD's- "The Jeffersons Go to Hawaii (part 2)"

I figured it was but I guess it wasn't necessary to show for syndication. I will see all that in August when I get the DVD
