Well i love all the Harry Potter books, and I liked Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. (I must admit, though, that I enjoyed the musical more.) I also enjoy Ann M. Martin's books (The Baby-sitters Club series). I might be getting a little old for them, but I still read them once in awhile, plus other books she's written. disturbed child 04-15-2002, 12:37 AM "Second Star to the Right" by Deborah Hautzig "Prozac Nation: Young & Depressed in America" by Elizabeth Wurtzel "A Child Called 'It'" by Dave Pelzer "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul I, II & III" "Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul" [Even though I'm almost 15, I still like this book] "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: Tough Stuff" At the moment, I'm reading "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath and so far, it's excellent. I'll name just a couple but there's an endless supply of them to read. Some writers specialize in short stories and many novelists write short stories as well. Stephen King has written some good ones but I don't recall the title of his collections. Joyce Carrol Oats has written several collections. TC boyle is a good short story writer. Also: Molly Giles Carol Bly Grace Paley Raymond Carver The list goes on. Check them out! QueenOfTheGypsies 04-21-2002, 09:30 PM "Catcher In The Rye" by J.D.
