I'll know I'll get angry responses but I didn't like the first season of Boy Meets World, I guess because Cory and Shawn were in grade school and me being in high school I didn't wanna see whiney kids in school. The second season with the boys in high school sort of picked up the pace a bit.

The first year of Saved By The Bell when it was known as "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" but many audiences remember it as part of the SBTB syndication reruns so I think it can still count as being the first season of SBTB.

I really don't like the first season of Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Full House.

Believe or not, Seinfeld really didnt get going until maybe season 2 or 3. People have said that the ratings were not strong that first season.

For me, I'd go with the Facts of Life. Nothing really wrong with it but way to many characters.

The first season of Knight Rider wasn't that great, lots of filler with episodes dealing with petty theft and crooked businessmen.

I wouldn't say it was terrible as far as the quality, but Cheers was almost cancelled after the 1st season because of abysmal ratings.

It picked up by Season 2 though, and especially by Season 3 and 4 with the Frasier/Diane story arc.

All In The Family had a terrible first season almost canceled until the reruns caught on during the summer.
Gidgit had a terrible first season they canceled the show and ratings picked up during the summer but it was too late.

Night Court's first season really couldn't find its voice with the shows constant staff turnover and it picked up later seasons when Dan Fielding became more popular.

Not really, Miss Bliss was set in a different state; only the students and principal moved to Bayside.

Parks and Recreation had a terrible first season (only 6 episodes). It seemed like an Office knock-off and didn't have a vision for what it wanted to be. It figured it out quickly though!

I would also say Newhart. It didn't have two of the best characters (Stephanie and Michael), Kirk was super annoying, and the videotape filming made it look like a daytime soap

Homeboys in outer space has a terrible first season...then got canceled. That show was really, really bad.

Mace Dolex, Boy Meets World's premiere season was great. I think that it might be my favorite.

I just can't tolerate grade school antics which is why I preferrd the high school years.

Again the same with the short lived Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher which had the first season in grade school before moving it to a high school setting in it's second season.

And then there are people like me that love those school antics. Case in point: Unlike yourself, I like season one of Nick Freno over the second season.
