Normally, I would search the forums before posting but there are just too many pages for this show to make this feasible.

Does anybody know in what format this show filmed on? Will it ever see a Blu-ray release? I've purchased all nine seasons produced by Mill Creek but was hoping this show would get the all-star treatment some day.

Netflix streams "Murder She Wrote" in HD but you will not find this series for purchase on Blu-ray anywhere. In fact, there are other t.v. shows that predate Roseanne that have been streamed in HD by Netflix.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Roseanne is unlikely to have a blu ray release because it was recorded on video tape. That is almost as good as it is ever going to look. With shows recorded on film such as Murder She Wrote, FRIENDS, Cheers etc they can go back to the camera negatives (normally 35mil which is what most feature films were shot on before digital started to take over) and scan them in again in stunning HD. Shows on video tape will never look as good as the source material isn't as good.

Assuming they still have the 35mm negative films from these shows.

You never know but I highly doubt we'll ever see a Blu release for this series. I'm happy with the DVDs; with the exception of a few music edits, the DVDs are good enough for me.
