Madness 03-23-2015, 12:52 PM Thanks for posting!
icecream 03-24-2015, 01:24 AM The worst part of the schedule is Newhart losing all 7 of its primetime hours and being relegated to late nights. It would have been perfect at 5PM between Mr. Belvedere and Barney Miller. At least Belvedere stays on weekdays at a good time. Barney Miller 6PM is surprising but nice. I don't know if I'll like One Day at a Time but will be able to see the first night where it is. And if I like it there won't be any conflict with primetime shows. Once again Alfred Hitchcock Presents gets stuck at an unwatchable time, so much for bringing it back. Small Wonder must be doing well to keep decent times on weekends.
icecream 04-07-2015, 01:30 AM One Day at a Time has some good parts but overall isn't that great. I'll give it a few more episodes but it probably won't become a regular. Schneider is creepy and I don't see Ann being this popular lady that all the men want. Valerie Bertinelli's character is my favorite but she isn't featured much.
Madness 04-07-2015, 02:35 AM One day at a time I think got better after a couple of seasons. It was never my favorite show but I'm happy to be able to catch it again. I didn't rush home or set the dvr tonight because I never liked the beginning episodes.

I was surprised the first episode was so damm dramatic:lol:

You have to give it more than 2 episodes lol The jeffersons was not all that good until after about the 5th episode.
I am recording both episodes of One Day at a Time now. I will continue to watch as long as it;s on since I never seen it before.
icecream 04-08-2015, 12:15 AM One Day at a Time is dropped, yet another Norman Lear show I don't like. too much sleaze for a "family" show
Bonniegirl 04-08-2015, 12:26 AM I like ODAAT! I remember watching it as a teenager and I haven't seen it in years! It was never my favorite show per se but it is cool seeing it again. Same with the Jefferson's so many years since I've seen it , same thing I watched it before , not my fav show than but I liked it OK and it's nice that it is back on!;) And for me being on the West coast I like Newhart and can still see that at a pretty good time slot 10PM! ;) Except on nights when there is something good on ID TV at 10:00 ( they tend to have good shows on that time), Oh and also on Thursdays at 10 on TLC is Myrtle Manor. Oh well most of the time I can still see Newhart! :)

LOL, I would have dropped it too if this was 1975 but I want to see why it may SUCK in syndication

I know it's a lot of SCREAMING on ODAAT and I am only on episode 4 lol

This show is more for girls I think. Two sisters and a mom and family drama . More a show females would enjoy I'm thinking! ;) I can relate because I was the younger girl in my family with an older sister and a mom and women can be dramatic! :D

Yeah it looks like Alice is more appealing than this show. Does Julie scream and act like a NUT every episode? It's been 4 episodes in a row now lol

Pretty much! :D And you know in real life the actress who plays Julie (Mackenzie Phillips) had really bad drug problems back in the day. As the show progresses you will see her looking REALLY skinny and she starts to look really bad in the face too! :(

More a show females would enjoy I'm thinking! ;) I can relate because I was the younger girl in my family with an older sister and a mom and women can be dramatic! :DThe problem with this show is the men are all pigs, no positive male characters.
Bonniegirl 04-08-2015, 02:00 AM The problem with this show is the men are all pigs, no positive male characters.
Yeah It was a women's lib show for sure. Portrayed men as male chauvinist pigs, remember that term? I don't think David is though. I think he seems like a gentleman! ;) So far he and Ann have been seeing each other and they haven't gotten intimate and he doesn't really pressure her, he still hangs around even not getting any sex, like he is willing to wait for her because he truly likes her . ;)
biffbronson 04-08-2015, 06:01 AM I used to watch ODAAT quite a bit, both first-run and in syndication. I always think of Valerie dribbling the basketball, as far as the earliest episodes. This was an extremely popular series, so there must have been a lot of guys like me watching as well as girls. Several seasons in the Top Ten and it seemed to do well in syndication too.
Bonnie's character was unusual to me, as I never personally knew any moms who were so opinionated and independent. Pat I thought was pretty funny at times, and Nanette Fabray was memorable in her appearances.
Mackenzie's book is a very good read. Even Mick Jagger recognized how her dad was freely using powerful drugs right in front of a very young Mackenzie. With her upbringing in that environment, I think you can say she's very fortunate to still be alive (thankfully).

which made David pathetic lol

Yeah really! Thank God she did survive all that. I always thought MacKenzie was a good person! ;)
My Mom was a stay at home Mom/housewife. I had a couple friends who's parents were divorced and Moms were going to work. But it was just starting back than that women were becoming independent! :)

Now women have all the good jobs and use men have nothing. Lol
storrs19 04-08-2015, 12:31 PM I just noticed during the noon EDT airing of Bewitched that ghe ending credits are now crunched on the left side while the next episode began at 12:30. I wondered how long it would be before these shenanigans began.
mets82 04-09-2015, 02:11 PM I havent watched ODAAT that much. Monday, I was watching wrestling and the NCAA Championship. Tuesday and last night I watched some of ODAAT. A couple of questions. I dont understand how the show got started. I mean did Ann move with her kids to somewhere new? Why is she jumping up and down during the opening credits? Also, where did David come in? He was in an episode of All in the Family as mentally challenged grocery bagger who took a liking to Gloria.
Btw, family-friendly? Not in a Norman Lear show.
icecream 06-02-2015, 02:05 PM Father's Day on Antenna TV will be yet another Father Knows Best marathon. 20 hours starting at 7AM.

I spliced you together; this is why the guys were watching.
TVFactFan 06-02-2015, 04:13 PM I have to say that antenna tv is ass on the holidays
tlc38tlc38 06-02-2015, 04:23 PM To everyone complaining about Antenna TV:
Please be thankful you can access this channel. I am not able to get this channel and I'd LOVE to have it. I can not watch ODAAT online because I don't have internet at my home and I can't "just watch it on YouTube" like some users have suggested I do.
I keep hoping for Shout! to release a complete series set but who knows when or if that'll happen.
So, please just be thankful for what you have and stop complaining. It could be worse.
I have to say that antenna tv is ass on the holidays
Didn't like the war movies?
BigManMike 06-02-2015, 07:34 PM Didn't like the war movies?
No way. Boring and uninteresting to me. And I'm sure TVFactFan would say the same. And they've had the same lame Father Knows Best marathon every Father's Day since 2012. Why not change it up and show something else. I know a lot of people like that show but honestly I just can't get into it. It just has a dark and strange feeling to it. Leave it to Beaver would have been a much better choice.
Bonniegirl 06-02-2015, 08:23 PM Yeah I just found out today that it will be Father knows best marathon on Fathers day! I'm not jumping for joy over that! I'm not a big FKB fan. As I posted before there are so many fathers on Antenna TV it would have been cool to mix it up! Play eps of Leave it to Beaver, Dennis the menace, Patty Duke show, Sanford and Son, Jefferson's, Etc. Any show on Antenna where there are men that are fathers!

Antenna TV is a good channel except for the Holidays when it turns into A$$
Is this the network I've noticed that has done a complete day of the 3 Stooges?

Just meant there are so many networks I can get confused over who does what. But now that you mention it, a day of the stooges might drive me crazy. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

I'm just as American as the next guy and I have no problem with them showing them because it was a holiday after all but I didnt watch Antenna TV on Memorial Day. War movies are not my thing.
Why not have more than one show highlighting different dads? LITB, Father Knows Best, Mr. Belvedere, Andy Griffith, Happy Days etc.
icecream 06-27-2015, 03:00 PM According to a Facebook post, Mork and Mindy will be joining Antenna TV in 2016, not this year like originally planned. Hopefully Family Ties still joins this year, it's better than all the Norman Lear crap.

We dont know yet if Mork and Mindy will get the weekends only treatment or aired in the afternoon.

It only had 4 seasons so I suspect it'll probably just air on the weekends.
BigManMike 06-28-2015, 08:58 AM They've stated Family Ties is coming this fall and Mork and Mindy and Dear John are coming in 2016. I just hope they aren't credit crunching them or else I won't be watching.
1960'sTVfan 06-28-2015, 09:41 AM Is this the network I've noticed that has done a complete day of the 3 Stooges?
I used to like the 3 Stooges, but now not anymore. I guess my tastes have changed over the years, in the 1980's is when I discovered that I prefer the East Side Kids and Bowery Boys over the Stooges. I will admit that some of those 3 Stooges short subject comedies do contain a few good sight gags, but for the most part I now find them unfunny and insanely stupid.
Bonniegirl 06-28-2015, 04:25 PM What does Antenna have planned for the 4th of July I wonder? Will it be a marathon?
TVFactFan 06-28-2015, 04:28 PM What does Antenna have planned for the 4th of July I wonder? Will it be a marathon?
The fact that it's a saturday and a day that no one is ever in the house I hope nothing LOL
BigManMike 06-28-2015, 05:02 PM The fact that it's a saturday and a day that no one is ever in the house I hope nothing LOL
You're exactly right. I've seen the guide and there's nothing special this year instead of that lame Gidget marathon they did for the past 2 or 3 years. Same boring Saturday schedule as always.

Their schedule is ASS on a typical saturday so I was not expecting anything special for a Summer Holiday when everyone is outside lol
icecream 06-28-2015, 06:53 PM It only had 4 seasons so I suspect it'll probably just air on the weekends. The Patty Duke Show only has 3 seasons and has been a constant on the weekday schedule. The Partridge Family has 4 seasons and was on weekdays for awhile. Plus when they had the rights to color Dragnet it lasted 4 seasons and was sometimes on 1 hour a day 7 days a week.
Bonniegirl 06-28-2015, 06:57 PM I like my Flipper and Doogie Howser on Saturdays. Other than that Saturday isn't that great on Antenna!

They removed Three's Company
Pavan 07-05-2015, 11:30 PM Solomon, Saturdays is a good line-up with Small Wonder 6-7PM, The Ropers/Three's a Crowd 7-8PM and Three's Company 10-11PM.

You didn't miss much--just a particularly silly episode, directed by Dick Christie. And the first Sunday episode was one they had aired a few months ago, where Jamie's bike was stolen and Vicki had trouble with her 'video receptors.'
BigManMike 07-06-2015, 10:11 AM What about 9pm to 10pm?
Too Close for Comfort

VisualSensation 07-10-2015, 11:17 PM I won't get to see the series finale of Small Wonder on Sunday since my affiliate is preempting it for baseball.
Small wonder didn't have a series finale, the last episode was produced two seasons earlier. Actually, a lot of the episodes during the final season were produced a year or two prior.
Bonniegirl 07-15-2015, 02:24 PM Antenna is adding Family ties, Dear John and another show that I can't remember what it is at the moment. What shows do you think are going to get the axe to make room for them?
You know it won't be All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Three's company or Good times. There could be a nuclear war and Antenna would still somehow show these! LOL!!!! Also I dream of Jeannie and Bewitched seem to be forever and always on Antenna as well!
I'm hoping they don't take One day at a time off. I would love to see it through again. I missed a lot of the eps too because of not being home on Sunday!

Actually, Family Ties is the only one coming in September, then Dear John and Mork and Mindy are coming in 2016. I just hope Family Ties doesn't have the credit crunching, otherwise I won't watch it. I've pretty much quit watching Antenna TV, except for The Jeffersons becaus I hate them crunching credits.

Oh Thanks! ;) I hope Family Ties doesn't take ODAAT off though! I'm not interested in watching Family Ties, and I certainly don't want to see Dear John or Mork and Mindy ! But I don't have to worry about what will be taken off because of them for about 6 months ;)
icecream 07-15-2015, 04:28 PM Family Ties and Mork and Mindy are good shows that are worth watching. They beat anything currently airing from 7PM-1AM. I'd also like to see Newhart get better slots.

Yes, No doubt ! They were very popular shows with a long run, just not really my cup of tea! I actually did like Family Ties for a couple seasons, but I lost interest in it, and I always thought Mork and Mindy was too silly (and that's weird for me, cause I usually like silly ) but IDK why? Never a fan of Mork and Mindy. My brother LOVED that show though! :)

I saw Mork and Mindy for the first time when METV aired it in 2008-9, and actually liked the much-derided Jonathan Winters episodes more than the rest of the series.

I think the last season was an improvement over season 2 and 3.

If any of them was replaced it would be a nice change especially Good Times since it's already on Cable

Well I saw a promo for One Day at a time so that's a sign that it maybe around for a while.

Maybe because the Mork character was geared toward preschoolers LOL:lol:

LOL! Well my brother was in his early 20's when Mork and Mindy was on, and he thought the Mork character was the funniest /best thing since sliced bread!  :D I found Mork WAY too corny!
mets82 07-16-2015, 05:31 PM I think Antenna TV thinks they could do know wrong. The credit crunch is a turnoff to me. At least, they dont speed up the credits. So, there's that, I guess.
biffbronson 07-17-2015, 01:20 AM There are 2 reasons I like Mork & Mindy: Pam Dawber and Gina Hecht.
Pam's performance is remarkably consistent, from the very beginning to the end. Gina is practically too hot for words to describe.

I am praying on that day I have
1. a date
2. plans with family to go to the beach
LOL. That sounds awful
TVFactFan 08-25-2015, 11:39 PM never even heard of "it's about time"
Mace Dolex 08-25-2015, 11:43 PM Family Ties couldn't even stay on The Hub for very long I don't see how much better it will fare on Antenna TV. And My Mother The Car? seriously? I've heard it was one of the worst sitcoms ever.

Did it have a good time slot on the hub?

Maude fared even worse than FT in syndication and it's been on that channel for years.
icecream 08-26-2015, 10:17 AM never even heard of "it's about time"I hadn't either. This is its description in The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable Shows.
"After their space capsule made a wrong turn somewhere and cracked the time barrier, astronauts Hector and Mac discovered that they were headed back to a world quite different from the one they had left. They landed in a swamp smack in the middle of Earth's Stone Age, not far from a tribe of cave dwellers. Among their new prehistoric neighbors were a friendly couple, Shad and Gronk; their two children, Mlor and Breer; the tribal bully, Clon; and the suspicious chief, Boss. In the episode of January 22, the astronauts finally managed to repair their spaceship and return to the 20th century, bringing Shad, Gronk, and their children back with them. The cave people had even more trouble adjusting to modern-day Los Angeles than the astronauts did to the prehistoric world. Mr. Tyler was the superintendent of their apartment building."
I think there was a reason this show only lasted one season.
BigManMike 08-26-2015, 10:48 AM I wish they would hurry up and announce the schedule. I don't know why they think they have to wait so long. People want to know. They shouldn't keep us waiting this long.
biffbronson 08-26-2015, 11:23 AM I think Family Ties will do well partly because there's a following for M. J. Fox. Justine Bateman used to be very popular as well, and there may be some guys who want to check her out again.
Family Ties ran on World Harvest TV for years and years. I would say I've seen every ep at least 4 times each, and some even more often than that. I think this is the first time in many years that they have neither FT nor My Three Sons in their lineup. And I believe Fat Albert was a casualty of the current Cosby controversy.

Antennatv probably blew their entire budget to acquire Johnny Carson, so there'll probably be a lot of My Mother The Car marathons on the horizon. lol

Two weeks away and their schedule still hasn't been released. :ohno:

I think they're purposely waiting until tomorrow to try to deflect attention away from Me-TV's new schedule.
BigManMike 08-30-2015, 11:04 PM This is stupid they take this long. They should release new schedules at least a month in advance. It better be out tomorrow or else.
