While watching the end credits to a "Flying Nun" episode, a Catholic media organization was credited with assistance. This surprised me because I once read an old newspaper article that when the show first came out, some religious organizations didn't like it because of fears that the show would be disrespectful. At the time, do you remember reaction among the laity and Catholic organizations to "The Flying Nun"? And do you think the show was more popular among Catholics than others?

I'm sure some people did but I honestly can't think of a single reason why anyone would want to object to this kind-hearted, family-friendly show.

Not at the time but I believe the show won an award for humanizing the Catholic clergy, which could sure as heck use good press today!
