did you ever notice there are none? They show guest stars in wheelchairs or whatever but no series regulars hardly. I wonder why not?

The only character I've heard of who was in a wheelchair was Robert T. Ironside on the hit 1967-75 NBC series Ironside (the late Raymond Burr).

There was a short-lived 2009 series called Brothers which had someone in a wheelchair as one of the main characters. He was played by Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, who is wheelchair bound in real life.

Wasn't there a guy on that War Of The Worlds tv series who was in a wheelchair? I think he was an expert with electronics.

There was a guest star who would make appearances on Highway to Heaven who played as a wheelchair-bound lawyer. He really was paralyzed (a quadriplegic) after he fell off tghe roof of his house. I read he passed away a few years ago.

I know of a few wheelchair series regulars that are more recent:

Jason Street of "Friday Night Lights", Artie on "Glee" and Augustus Hill on "Oz".

Even though it's animated there's Joe from "Family Guy".

Remember The Bradys? It was one of many Brady Bunch reunion series that have aired over the years. It was on CBS for a very short time during the 1990s. In this one, a grown up Bobby pursues his dream of being a race car driver but gets into a terrible accident in his first race and then has to spend the rest of the series in a wheelchair. It was tough to watch for fans of the original series like myself but fortunately it didn't last very long.

Tales Of The Gold Monkey had Gushie who worked for Roddy McDowall's character in The Monkey Bar.
